Anyone here using their services?
We've seen in the news in the past few days that one was shutdown by the Europol (BestMixer). I just read, in a different forum, that another one (Bitblender) has decided to stop their services as well. Although no official reason has been given yet.

Bitblender's reason for stopping their services are probably the same for bestmixer which they said that is being used for criminal activies to make their transaction untraceable, I think ChipMixer is soon to follow

This is not surprising really. We've seen a lot of news bashing bitcoin and other crypto being used for illegal activities. Those mixers/blenders providing more anonymity/privacy should have seen this coming.

This problem is really present and this news has been discussed for several days. Governments do not like the anonymity and the inability to track the movement of funds, including bitcoins. It would be more correct to place servers on which the mixer is located in jurisdictions far from Europe, the USA, China and other countries with strict rules for controlling the circulation of finances. It might be more appropriate to place servers in Belize, the Virgin Islands, Malta and similar jurisdictions in order to avoid closure.

I had once or twice applied for this chipMixer signature campaign at the bitcointlaks, unfortunately i observed that this project never get concluded. I think very soon many of these dubious companies will begin to prove who they really are and what they are doing.

I think it is not about how the signature campaign never ended. They should have money from running the project or already prepared the funds from the beginning. It is about new regulation that brings impacts to some projects like BestMixer and Bitblender. But I agree that ChipMixer seems to follow soon.

This is not about signature campaign and to be fair to those mixers, they pay weekly in BTC. Whether they want to keep running it is out of the question.
What makes you say they are dubious? Just because you were not accepted in their sig campaign?
They make bitcoin transactions more anonymous but that does not necessarily mean they're doing something bad.

I have never done it for Mixer because it is too difficult to do, even for signatures it must have more than 5 posts per day.
There are also many Patrons from Indonesia who are participating in this service and maybe they are between getting a stop at a different forum.

That came as a surprise to me. Indonesia is not that strict about cryptocurrency that's why I didn't think many would use any mixing services. Maybe most of the users there are gamblers?

Yes, Indonesia is not a country that disallows crypto. Crypto investment is legal here and we can convert crypto coins to our national currency easily. But I don't see most gamblers here, they are just some people only, I guess.

Mixers will always be popular, because many want to remain anonymous when making Bitcoin payments. I would not like someone to watch what I buy, to whom I send BTC, therefore sometimes I use mixers. If Bitblender moves its servers to a safer place, it will continue to be used, although there are other mixers that you can freely use.

FYI, there is another new mixer and blender currently. I see it on another crypto forum. Those also provide a signature campaign paid in BTC. I think both mixer and blender continue its existence. They seem to have big support from the community.

What do you mean by this statement? Do you understand what we are talking about in this thread? Mostly only talking about mixers and blenders, not other projects. The OP specifically wanted to discuss why they are "shutdown" by the Europol.
