I'm trying to understand this but I'm not getting it. Please is it that someone owns all the Bitcoin in the world?
-
What is it that you don't get?
For your question in the title "Who owns Bitcoin", nobody owns bitcoin because it is decentralized, meaning no central body controls nor governs it. No one can own all the Bitcoin in the world as Bitcoin has a total supply of 21,000,000 and as of this writing the circulating supply in coinmarketcap is 16,946,875 which means there is still 4,053,125 Bitcoins which are not yet mined.

A slightly bizarre question? Who owns the US dollar? Who owns my house? Who owns the carrot at my local store? You pay for it, you own it. Perception is changing slowly, the more people that own something, the less chance that one entity can control it. I believe that is the benefit of Bitcoin. No one organisation has control over the value, therefore the owners and perspective owners dictate the value. All just another big game, have fun.

Everyone owns bitcoin if you buy some 1 of them ::)

Bitcoin is owned by no one. Just like the real gold, it was created and designed to be mined by those who understands the mathematical calculations. Bitcoin is decentralized, thus no authoritative body is in control or owns it. Not even Satoshi Nakamoto who invented it.
