Leaked photos of an alleged bill appear to show that India is looking to ban cryptocurrencies within its nation. While the documents haven’t been officially verified, blockchain lawyer Varun Sethi put them out on his Twitter for us all to take a look.
Entitled “Banning of Cryptocurrency & Regulation of Official Digital Currencies,” the proposal not only looks to ban digital assets but also details plans of a ‘Digital Rupee’ put out by the Reserve Bank of India.
Sethi put the entire leak on his Scribd account. There we can see one part of the document that reads “no person shall mine, generate, hold, sell, deal in, issue, transfer, dispose of or use cryptocurrency in the territory of India.”

Do you believe that things will work out in India’s favor in terms of cryptocurrency regulation?

I do not know what's funnier here. The news on India might be banning or the "leaked" government document.
There is no such thing as "leaked" bill, they are meant to be public once it is filed for discussion.
It is also already out in the open that the government of India is basically against cryptocurrencies even without them admitting it.

India has been trying to buy cryptocurrencies since 2017, but it's not possible.

The Indian government is still studying the future of crypto currency either they will make a regulation to support the crypto currrency or they will just ban it as the rummors are also strong in favor of banning. For the main time they clarified that they did not ban crypto currency so maybe it will be an opportunity to make a lateral move for those who are against the banning. https://news.bitcoin.com/indian-government-crypto-regulation/?utm_source=hodler

The rumor India banning cryptocurrencies appears and disappears for several times. I am bored to see this again and again. Common India, give crypto an official ban. China banned crypto already and market is still going well.

Seriously, is there anyone here buying that leaked bill? Sorry but even the article looks really stupid to me. That writer must be too bored to even spend time writing about a topic that many in the crypto space is already familiar with.
