I am new to the crypto industry, and was wondering what everyone thoughts are on why altcoins are more valuable? It is a very interesting topic that I am trying to learn more about.

Alternatives coins are more valuable because they have many purpose for example let's say ethereum and eos, they are smart contract and decentralize application dapps platform for the businesses. The other reason there are many alternatives coins which has special function related with their businesses and combine with the technology of blockchain, they have addopted cryptocurrencies in their real of businesses than just making digital coins just for as digital of money. It is different with bitcoin just for as new money in era of internet today.

Not all altcoins are valuable to buy, I assume only top altcoins worth to buy for now. So, in my view, valuable coins to trade / to invest are top altcoins and Bitcoin. Those should have high volumes and hold by many crypto holders. I am not sure to consider new altcoins now, it is likely hard to gain profits for short terms and I doubt for long terms.
