Title: Survey: Only 5% Interested in Facebook’s Libra, Many Trust Bitcoin More
Post by: MUGNIA on July 26, 2019, 04:48:57 PM
Facebook announced the Libra last month, but it seems that the vast majority of people don’t care about it. Only 5% said they expressed interest in using it according to a new poll by Civic Science.

Facebook’s Libra is not resonating among many U.S. adults which could cause problems for the project’s longevity down the road. In a survey of 1,799 adults, only 5% expressed an interest in using the Libra.

The survey, led by Civic Science, showed that 86% of individuals are not interested at all. 10% were not sure. The tiny interested group tended to skew younger, mainly being 18-to-24-year-olds.

I would not be bothered by that number if I were part of Libra team. That may look small but that is only from the US. What if we take into account their target market which are third world countries?

The survey percentage will increase in future, the Libra team started as big companies so we will not be surprised in future if the % will change.

there's nothing to surprise about the numbers. Libra is just newly created and not yet certain if it will succeed or not. while bitcoin already proven its worth in the market. it was getting strong through the years. Even I if given a.chance to hold a coin even a single digit would always chose bitcoin among other coins in the market.

I don't know whether that survey is reliable or not, taken from what kind of respondents. Well, personally, the Facebook coin is very popular since it was first announced. But of course, I'm sure that many people will be interested Let's see the real condition later.

We can see after Facebook opened their first pre-sale, I think anything can happen because Libra is a stable coin, the survey results will not have an effect because most Facebook users still don't know about using this coin. I'm sure the developer team will advertise coins more often. libra when they will launch it.

The coin must first appear, demonstrate its advantages and usability and only then people will judge it. Therefore, I am not surprised as a result of the survey. Let Libra first appear, then we will evaluate it. In addition, many probably heard about the difficulties and problems that Facebook already has with creating its own coin.

Of course, people prefer to choose Bitcoin than Libra since Bitcoin has been proven for years. Moreover, Libra seems to be a stable coin that has low volatility. It makes Libra has a small chance to increase significantly its value. So, it is not really good to hold for a digital asset. It just functions to keep money without hope of high profits.

I will also choose Bitcoin rather than Libra because Libra is a coin created by an American country that has a myriad of problems regarding cryptocurrency.
Then if a country has a problem with the proye that is being developed then the effect of the project will also be disrupted to start it.

Libra - America - Problem - Obstructed : very much prefer Bitcoin than Libra!

It is not surprising anymore. bitcoin is the king and it will remain as a king. No one can replace bitcoin as a major payment in the future because of its value. Facebook's libra has not been launched the sentiments of the people might change if they will experience the ease of using digital currency.
