Walmart is trying to introduce its own cryptocurrency that will be tied to the U.S Dollar according to this news https://www.cryptoinformers.info/news/10258-walmart-is-trying-to-patent-its-own-digital-currency-imitating-fb-libra
But the area I am not too please with is that it imitates Facebook's Libra idea which the news says.
That been said, do you think Walmart will succeed Facebook Libra project? Considering the fact that it is U.S owned company.

Its good that big companies are now on crypto. Its a sign of mass adoption.

The look alike of Walmart coin compared to that of Libra coin might be due to the regulations guiding them, most especially because the the projects are US based.

It should be great news if Walmart can make its own cryptocurrency. Crypto adoption will go to the next stage that can ensure big companies in the world to create crypto coins as well. I think it is a good sign for the future of crypto existence.

AS we advance further and further into crypto land we will see more of this adoption happening before long crypto will be the main payment method, I feel fiat will still be around for a very long time but it will be alongside crypto. Much like how the USD is used in countries like Costa Rica as well as their own local currency.

Its not a big deal, Walmart is using Blockchain and issue a US$Dollar pegged token. on its chain of supermarkets or stores so whats the problem I think Walmart's project is not like Facebook's Libra so theres no reason to alarm with it.
