2 Years ago, we launched this forum, it was made public on the 16th of October 2017.
The 2 years have passed very fast, we learned a lot, and we have been reminded recently the necessity of our mission.
2 years ago, we launched as an alternative to the more popular bitcoin forum, as a general impartial forum.
It is important to be impartial to be able to get the truth discussed about the many actors in crypto. Without censorship.
You can not raise doubts about a cryptocurrency on it's forum without censorship. You can not point out the scam tactics of an exchange or a crypto casino on their forums without censorship. Well, here you can.
Another reason why we launched this forum, is that some forums have became too hostile to newcomers, and we wanted to present a friendly alternative.
We have labeled ourselves as a revenue sharing forum, we started distributing tokens to our active members, then we realized that like any other crypto project, unless we get heavily involved in trading the token, it will not be in demand.
We refused to do that, we preferred to launch services that require this token, like our classified section.
Unlike other premined tokens, our ALTS token is linked to points you earn in posting, and the token can not be issued unless the points are burned, thus we decided to let the token take it's natural course instead of faking trades or pumping and dumping.
In our second year, we are going to put back the focus on revenue sharing, we are going to distribute half the ETH collected by the forum from this day on. We will do this in small amounts of 8-10$, to be able to distribute to as many users as possible.
However the distribution will be mainly done in the context of our contests and giveaways that will distribute our ATT community token.

I am really happy that such forum exists. I agree with you that we (community of altcoinstalks forum) are friendly forum. We are still young forum and we still need to improve it. But many things were done and I think this forum is going the right way.
