Title: EU finance ministers agreed to block Libra
Post by: mlawson71 on December 06, 2019, 11:02:13 AM
EU finance ministers have agreed that  private digital currencies like Libra – the crypto coin Facebook plans to launch in 2020, should not be allowed in the European Union until all possible risks are identified and properly addressed.

Since Facebook revealed its Libra project in June, virtually all major financial regulators have expressed concerns about Libra's  possible impact on the global financial system. The unease steams from Facebook's huge customer base – currently the social media has more than 2 billion users.

The European Central Bank, as well as Germany and France also criticized the project – a stance, which is now confirmed by the decision of the finance ministers of the Block.

Ok, let's see what will happen to LIBRA comes January 2020.
Now it is January 2020 and hoping to see good things for Libra, but still have to hear from Mark. There comes some time that crypto will be allowed in EU too. It would be a big fight between Crypto and these Government Authorities.

Any new News on this EU block?

The stumbling block is very large and very hard because it feels very much felt by the #DevelopmentTeam  from LIBRA.
How not to be a big obstacle while the European Union is a big power and financial owner in the blue continent.

If it were true that blocking LIBRA would make it difficult for LIBRA to develop its business in the European Union.

In the states of the European Union are very good at circulating a decentralized cryptocurrency. However, the negative attitude of these states towards the possible appearance of the Libra coin is justified. Zuckerberg wants to build for himself another, now financial empire. It is very dangerous to transfer the solution of global financial issues to private hands.

Zuckerberg’s plan with its global stable coin Libra pushed many states to create their own national stable coins and this can be regarded as a big step in the development of cryptocurrency. Therefore, everything has its cause and effect.
