Twitter is subsidizing a little research group to manufacture an “open and decentralized social media standard” to make Twitter a customer of this standard. CEO Jack Dorsey uncovered before yesterday and laid out his case in a tweet, despite the fact that he recognized that the procedure could take years.
The undertaking is called Bluesky, and nobody is working on it yet. The Twitter CTO Parag Agrawal is entrusted with finding the lead for the endeavor, which will develop a group of five men. The Bluesky record’s just tweet refers to Dorsey with “lo “— a gesture to the main email ever to be sent on the Internet.

It will be a big fail same as their real one.
They BAN accounts lately because of their shitty algorithm, even if you're 100% legitimate account user.
-
I still do not know yet about the exact information about it. But, it may be good progress for social media to create its own decentralized platform. But, it is already, isn't it? After Facebook and Telegram announced to have own crypto, then Twitter and others possibly follow them.
-
I think it will be interesting to look at this
-
That would kill off all the sauce & purpose! (of Dorsey controlling his project & benefitting from it, giving out blue ticks to different scums, banning other folks as long as good masters tell) ??? But I'd certainly look at this. Who knows, maybe
with all the bugs they can leave this whole idea has potential... No one has to have too much power on their hands.
(On the other hand, give it all to the machine algorithm? Someone above correctly pointed out it's a no-no, as their algorithms are definitely biased, leave space for censorship & Twitter excluded almost all human communication from support aspect so it's almost impossible to protest any of the algorithm's "decision" without causing an uproar... which might be not enough whatsoever)

I think twitter has already seen the potential of Blockchain that's why they started to explore about it, and that's not surprise me at all since twitter is a hotspot of many cryptocurrency related accounts in short twitter is one of the mainstream social media platform that often use by crypto and blockchain base projects.
-
blockchain is the way and many are moving in seriously. twitter could have made a partnership with an already build product instead of starting up their own just like facebook with libra. it might back fire. we all just have to watch and see how it goes down.
-
I have not heard about this news. But it is very cool. Now all well-known companies and services are switching to the blockchain and it makes me very happy. I look forward to when Twitter will work on the blockchain.
-
Twitter suffers losses, the company's shares are getting cheaper and now their price is much lower than in 2013. At the time of release, the company was valued at $ 18 billion, and today it is $ 16 billion. Twitter still cannot make a profit, so any innovative initiatives on its part can be easily explained.

I am very disappointed with Twitter, they ban my account, even though I am not very active with Cryptocurrency on Twitter. I don't have a forward assessment of Twitter's goal of wanting to create a decentralized system of social media. I just hope there are no more banned accounts, because this is very detrimental to Twitter members who have long joined.
-
I hope this will be realized because Twitter certainly has a huge community.
Cryptocurrency also needs the community to raise its price and this is the beginning of the right steps taken by Twitter to engage directly in a volatile world.
-
It is a shame to have your twitter banned because faulty algo, but how do they ban spambots from decentralized platform. Will be hard. Still will have centralized layers , but good thing is that you don't need to use that.
-
If thats the case, its a good idea. No doubt that they will go to a decentralised platform because the founder of twiiter is a huge fan of bitcoin. However there recent banning on cryptorelated activity in twitter is very opposite to there mission to launch decentralized platform.
-
We'll see how it develops. Every social media will eventually implement a blockchain. They all saw an opportunity. And Twitter also finally approved the blockchain. So there will be no BAN for accounts that deploy #blockchain or.
-
It would be great to see another platform joining decentralised world. However, I prefer twitter much more than Facebook, so it would be great for blockchain industry to have such a massive social media player.
-
It will be a big fail same as their real one.

you called twitter a big fail? Come on wake up buddy, twitter is another widely used social platform after facebook and if twitter follows everry legal process on their next project, it will be as huge as the real one. I have been on twitter for 10years now and never got banned.
-
I think if they were going to launch a decentralized plafrom system, they should fix the registration and detention system for one account, their bot caught too many real and active accounts, whether they were as standard as what they used for their bot, a little disappointed with Twitter
-
Thats how decentralized revolution is, everyone and everything is turning into decentralized. Finance, gaming and other sectors are planning and testing their own decentralized model. We still need more time before decentralized takes place but it will be soon and it is unstoppable right now.
