Bitcoin hovers around the $7,100 mark again, as most of the top 20 cryptocurrencies are reporting slight growth

In the cryptocurrency world, nobody notices such "growth" that is less than 1%.

Well, Bitcoin is near $6,5K, ETH near $120 now. Really sad news in December.

Bitcoin is unlikely to slowly lose its value due to some growth of individual altcoins. Most likely, this is a manifestation of its usual price volatility. At the end of 2017, bitcoin grew well in price at the same time as the price increase of altcoins. This year, even a four-fold increase in the price of bitcoin in the second quarter did not significantly affect the increase in the price of altcoins.
