Yes, most of the news about crypto adoption in Russia is basically news a papers headlings, and the internet. There are no action or follow up to these news. I have been hearing of one big crypto development and others about crypto and the blockchian but after some times, everything disappear. I also read about Russian central bank going into blockain development but never heard any news on it since then.

Thats a bit odd when some of the big project such as eth came from Russia, do they not proud that the top 2 coins is from their country? I think they are just waiting for the right opportunity for their action like what China did.

I don’t see anything strange. There are talented people in Russia, but the government led by Putin is corrupt and rules by authoritarian methods. Putin used to lie in everything, he says one thing and does another. As long as such a government is in this country, people will not be free, including they will not have the freedom to use cryptocurrency.

As for the legalization of cryptocurrency in Russia and on what conditions this will happen, there have always been only contradictions in this matter. The President, the Prime Minister, the deputies of the State Duma, and the central bank spoke out on this subject, moreover, they were repeatedly and always contradictory. Moreover, statements about cryptocurrency of the same people were also contradictory. At the direction of Putin, the law on the circulation of cryptocurrency in Russia should have been adopted before the first of June. Bills submitted to the Duma mainly had a negative attitude to cryptocurrency: from criminalizing its use to granting the right to use it only to certain categories of the population. Therefore, I have no illusions that in this country people will be allowed to freely use cryptocurrency, as is done in almost all civilized states.
