I support crypto but I am not someone who is praying that crypto will replace fiat but I am one of those dreamers who want crypto to work side by side with fiat. There might be plenty of things that could happen in the span of 10 years but it won't be easy to replace fiat with crypto considering the current situation of the crypto market.
In my opinion, crypto won't be able to replace fiat in a short period of time.

Crypto won't replace fiat soon. But they both can exist and complement each other.

Cryptocurrency can never replace the traditional national money of states. She is simply not capable of this. In any case, cryptocurrency will go in society only along with fiat. No state will ever allow this. Yes, and technically it is impossible.

In life generally nothing seems to be impossible. Crypto is growing very fast, just 10years, it has been wonderful no doubt.
If you have heard about cashless society, you may reconsider that the possibility may be through crypto/blockchain or crypto stable coins/tokens. If you think that it is technically impossible, you might get a rethink because it may be practically possible in near future. Let remove doubt and wait a little in near future to how this turn to be. Thank you

Still, cryptocurrency will never replace fiat. Non-cash society in the future is possible, but it will certainly go non-cash national currency of states. In fact, a kind of non-cash currency of various states are stable coins, that is, digitized national currencies. In the future, other options for the joint use of cryptocurrency and ordinary currency will arise, however, cryptocurrency will not replace the usual currency. As long as states exist, their currency in cash or non-cash will also exist.

For cryptocurrency to replace fiat, you need an appropriate government decision. However, no government will ever abandon its national money and switch to the use of cryptocurrency, which is not able to work so closely with the state’s economy as its usual currency. Cryptocurrency for any state is alien and no man's, that is, not only not secured by anything, but also not having the authority of a particular state or group of states, as is the case in other currencies. Therefore, no state will take such a risk, it is much easier for them to issue their stable coin or use other stable coins.
