Title: Ethereum 2.0 security audit is scheduled for February 2020

Developer Danny Ryan said a "comprehensive security audit of Ethereum 2.0" as part of phase zero is due to take place in February next year, Trustnodes reported.


According to him, the new system's susceptibility to DoS attacks, its "susceptibility to resource abuse that leads to unintended hard forks" and Other Ethereum 2.0 weaknesses will be mainly analyzed. The audit report is expected to be published in early February.

Ryan noted that there will be a new eth2 release before the audit:

"This V0.10.0 release will focus on integrating the new BLS standards into The core Ethereum 2.0 specifications»

Ryan also hopes that this winter will be the launch of a test network with support for various clients. In addition, the Deposit contract will be tested for about three months. Therefore, the main Ethereum 2.0 network will not start work until mid-summer of next year.

Recall, recently developer Justin Drake proposed to launch Ethereum 2.0 at the end of July next year — the fifth anniversary of the network.

Well, the main thing is that Ethereum 2.0 works stably and without vulnerabilities. It seems that the full launch of Ethereum 2.0 is still most likely by July 30. I would like to see the updated ethereum earlier, since from August on the cryptocurrency market there will traditionally be a lull and then the growth of the ethereum price will be difficult.

I think yes, most likely the price of Ethereum will be affected by this (most likely to go up).. it's better to buy and save some Ethereum now.
