It is quite ironic isn't it. A user buying a hardware wallet to store his/her wallet offline and then uses a browser extension to access it. What's more surprising is that an investor owning 17,000 ZEC committed the rookie mistake of not verifying the extension with the Ledger team first before installing.

Sometimes, if you keep your crypto on any exchange, it is safer than use a cold wallet or something.
