Bitcoin and several other cryptocurrencies have added to the list of payment methods at Burger King fast food restaurants in Venezuela.
Cryptocurrency support is implemented through a partnership with the cryptobuyer processing service.
In addition to bitcoin, payment is available in Ether( ETHE), Litecoin (LTC), Finance Com (BNB) and Dash (DASH), as well as Tether (USDT).
Currently, you can pay with cryptocurrencies only in one branch of Burger King in Caracas, but in 2020 the company plans to expand the option to all 40 establishments in the country.

Venezuela is still in an acute economic crisis, which the government of Nicolas Maduro is trying to solve in part by using the national cryptocurrency El Petro and restricting access to foreign currency.
In some cases, El Petro is even the only way to pay for a number of important services, such as passport fees. In addition, at the end of 2018, the Venezuelan government began transferring citizens ' retirement savings to El Petro.
It is noteworthy that not so long ago Dash representatives claimed that this altcoin is the most popular in Venezuela, but there was no actual confirmation of this statement. The level of acceptance of cryptocurrencies by local merchants remains quite low.
In October last year, it was reported that bitcoin as payment began to accept Burger King restaurants in Germany.
