Since the inception of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, several traditional banks have felt intimidated due to their presence. The reason for this intimidation is because banks mostly centralize and control the flow of money, and cryptocurrencies offer a less controllable, decentralized way of monetary exchange. A question that arises in people's mind is whether the cryptocurrencies will replace traditional banks in the future. In this article, we will discuss how cryptocurrencies can replace the traditional banking industry.

I think that's the major focus why they brought Blockchain into a existence, but there's alot of contention in the banking system because of cryptocurrency.

High transaction costs and bank account maintenance fees, made me switch to using crypto in 2017.
Interbank money transfers are also subject to high fees from different countries, but banks seem to see the rapid progress possessed by cryptocurrency, eventually they will adopt cryptocurrency, because transparency on blockchain technology is a good thing for payment systems and security

Not totally, we cannot replace the traditional banking industry that easily. Only very few of the population knew about cryptocurrency, do you think they will use it without knowing it. What we need right now is massive adoption in every part of the world first then if we are successful with that then Mainstream will surely come.

I think one of the primary reasons why there is cryptocurrency is to replace the traditional banking industry but since the can't fully replace fiat with crypto it will be impossible too to replace the banking industry. They might be able to exist hand and hand but replacing one with the other is impossible as of the moment. Crypto has a lot of things to do and hindrances to face before it can fully replace fiat or the banking industry.

I think that's the major focus why they brought Blockchain into a existence, but there's alot of contention in the banking system because of cryptocurrency.
For the first time I hear that banks created blockchain technology. Bitcoin on blockchain technology appeared in January 2009, and the ripple, which banks use, only in 2012.
However, cryptocurrency can never replace the banking system. Cryptocurrency is simply not capable of this. Banks perform a variety of functions to which cryptocurrency has nothing to do. In addition, banks are under the strict protection of the state, since, in fact, they are part of the state system.

Obviously possible because maximum people are very much interested to work with disital currencies. They don't carry fiat papers money in the business system hence day by day banking system forcing to threat. As a result bank is fully opposite to Bitcoin and altcoins.

with the current situation, i doubt if such thing will happen. Many people has been scammed of their hard earn money and also as long as we use our fiat in exchange to get crypto. i don't think they will in any way replace the banking industry. crypto needs regulations and smart contract can make a huge difference in that.

Traditional banks will always be there, they will adopt blockchain technology and develop it with the developers they already have, good cryptocurrency is used for payments, but what I see now is, there are many new projects that develop crypto banks and put some ATM machines in place they specify

I think cryptocurrency can easily replace banks. Because cryptocurrency has more opportunities and advantages. And banks understand this well and are afraid that this could really happen.

It is foolish to even dream that cryptocurrency can someday replace the traditional banking system. Cryptocurrency is simply not capable of this. In addition, the functions of banks are much wider and more diverse than cryptocurrencies. Banks are financial institutions, and cryptocurrency is only a tool for any users, including banks. Banks will not disappear anywhere, they will use blockchain technology and become even stronger.

It's right. Nothing will happen to banks. They are under the reliable protection of the state. In addition, cryptocurrency does not even pose any danger to the banking system. This was even recognized by the bankers themselves. Moreover, they concluded that cryptocurrency does not pose any threat to global financial stability. Therefore, in fact, banks are not afraid of cryptocurrency. Bankers in many ways do not understand it, since cryptocurrency works in a completely different way than traditional payment systems.

slowly, traditional banks will be replaced by cryptocurrency. At least people don't have to go to the bank if they want to make a transaction. Transaction costs between banks and the length of transactions between countries are a weakness for traditional banks. obviously, cryptocurrency makes things easy.

still needs time. Not everyone agrees with the change, even though it makes it easy. There are people who always go to the bank. There are also those who do not understand the use of ATM machines, and he prefers transactions at the cashier. That way, it's still difficult to implement cryptocurrency now.

I don't think it will happen soon, cryptocurrency is here as an alternative technology driv'n option the traditional banking industry are here to stay since the cryptocurrency adoption in the mainstream industries was still in slow pace. in my opinion it takes time before cryptocurrency will be able to dominate the traditional banking industry and if that happen im sure that using cryptocurrency is not complicated anymore like it was today.

Not replacing but updating the system into a blockchain of the usual system used by Conventional Banks.
For example, HSBC Bank uses transaction data that is not known to the public and then if it uses blokchain, all transactions from HSBC Bank Customers can be seen by the public. IMO

This good opportunity for decreasing money laundry on goverment if wich country have peopple with corruptions .

Centralization isnt bad. Imagine if youre bank account has been compromised then proves that your not lying they can pay back youre money. But in decentralized approach of crypto, when you made mistake on sending youre funds, say goodbye to it. The only advantage with crypto is they are no authority that could manipulate youre funds. Though transparency sometime is scary cause someone can be watching youre asset and planning to hit you when a chance arrive.

Cryptocurrency cannot replace the traditional banking system. Even if that will happen,  it will take decades. Even as a payment system, it will still take a very long time for this to happen.  The traditional bank can only upgrade its system they don't see cryptocurrency as a threat to replace them

I agree. Blockchain technology must be used by banks even by the state financial system. We as customers also want to see our own cash flow (maybe occasionally). Especially if it can be used by the Central Bank, it is very easy to find out state transactions.

Banks have a different system from cryptocurrency, a centralized bank system and they will manage all the funds you have, starting from lending to other customers and many other things without us knowing.

Cryptocurrency will make everything transparent, this is proven by a good system and technology, blockchain makes everything transparent, if banks want to cooperate and use crypto as a transaction option then they need permission from the government

There are still many ordinary people and trades who are not familiar with Cryptocurrency, so at the moment I say that it is not ready for Cryptocurrency to replace banking.  Or rather Cryptocurrency runs in conjunction with Banking.  Because it is true, even though Cryptocurrency will become legal in use by the general public, we still need banking because after all Fiat Money will never disappear from this earth.
And Cryptocurrency will be an easy and modern payment alternative, and between Cryptocurrency and Banking will continue to function respectively.

Over time, fiat money inflation will become an increasingly serious problem, which will cause many to doubt their reliability, I think this will create a high demand for alternative currencies. We all know that sooner or later a period of high inflation will come.

It seems to me that the question is not compiled correctly. Cryptocurrencies have long been ready to replace the traditional banking system.
The question is whether the people themselves are ready for this?
Therefore, it will not be possible to introduce cryptocurrencies from above (because of governments), because they themselves depend on this traditional system.
You can only change the situation if we ourselves begin to use cryptocurrency in everyday life.
And in my opinion, we don't do it so often now.
Why? Because either we are too passive or not ready for change, because not everything is so bad with the usual banking system (at the moment)  :-\

Cryptocurrency is not able to replace the banking system. Banks and cryptocurrencies will exist in parallel and complement each other with their capabilities. Cryptocurrency will only strengthen banks. Banks have already begun to use cryptocurrency and its advanced blockchain technology. This allows banks to conduct transactions faster and better and serve citizens. At the same time, cryptocurrency will be used in combination with other types of means of payment.

How can cryptocurrency replace banking? This is absolutely unrealistic. On the one hand, cryptocurrency is completely unable to replace banks, and on the other hand, banks are protected by the state. No state will ever allow the destruction of the traditional banking system. The state will destroy any obstacle that will stand in the way of their banks.

It is foolish to expect that the traditional banking system will disappear with the advent and development of cryptocurrency. Banks perform a much broader function than cryptocurrency, and therefore cryptocurrency simply cannot replace the banking system. For example, banks serve the financial and economic activities of business entities. At the same time, the necessary information is recorded for tax and audit purposes, such as the justification for the transfer of monetary amounts, indicating the contract number and other necessary information. Cryptocurrency, by its nature, cannot do this.

Banks will not disappear anywhere in the near future for sure, because only a small part of the entire population uses cryptocurrency, and the rest do not even know what cryptocurrency is and do not want to know, but if full adaptation of cryptocurrencies around the world begins, then in the future everything will change and then there will be a huge competition of cryptocurrencies and banks.

This is only the time of four thousand years, which we can track the work of banks with documents. Therefore, no cryptocurrency in this regard will change anything. Banks will switch to using blockchain technology and this will only strengthen them. In addition, cryptocurrency, neither technically nor organizationally, can replace the banking system. I do not think so. I think we still need time to replace the traditional banking industry. Even though the economic model we have for the last 50 years is about to collapse, it is not that easy to adapt a new system in a day. Right now we are like in the middle 1990s where there are computers and internet but people are not really aware of the situation and the technology is not ready enough.

The foundation of banking system is quiet strong and couldn't be easily disregarded and come up to new approach. Cryptocurrency will lessen the hard works, more works,  time consuming, and slow service of banks. Yap, traditional approach can apply to cryptocurrency bank system approach.

Embracing new trends is for good measurement to what to be gain at the present and the future.

Under any circumstances, cryptocurrency cannot replace the banking system. She is simply not capable of this. The functions of banks as a system of well-functioning financial institutions are much wider. Cryptocurrency does not have so many functions. The banking system is primarily a financial management system, and the cryptocurrency itself needs to be managed.

If you can replace the bank, this will make a big impact. But this tends to be impossible because of many inhibiting factors such as many people who do not understand crypto and use crypto. Banks have become an icon to save money or invest.
