Title: AAFX Trading reviews: any good for cryptocurrencies?
Post by: Sajinn on January 07, 2020, 08:41:39 PM
Currently I'm looking for a decent brokerage that would allow trading both traditional assets and bitcoin. To tell the truth, I'm not that much interested in alts so far, but Bitcoin still seems to be interesting in a long-term perspective.
I liked AAFX for they have really attractive spreads for all the assets, no commissions and most importantly currently offer 40% bonus to new account replenishments. The claim is the bonus is withdrawable. Did anyone work with this brokerage? Is it really withdrawable? How difficult is it to complete the requirements for bonus withdrawal?

I don’t believe that any brokerage can ever! ever! offer you a bonus that you will be able to withdraw to your real account. Are they nuts to do that? Well, even if they really promise to do so and plan to do so without any cheating intentions, they surely have set some really difficult requirements that you will never ever be able to fulfill in your life. It must be some crazy volume to be traded so that they can make enough money with commissions before they give you your 40%.

This is actually why I’m asking. I have the same suspicions, but according to the rules, it’s not that bad. They give you 60 days to trade and if the volume is big enough, they transfer the bonus to your main account from where you’ll be able to withdraw it to bank. Unfortunately the bonus is no longer 40% as well. But still 35% for the first deposit. If I won’t find anyone who’s tried the service here, I might need to be the AAFX pioneer and try it myself.

No doubt the idea of a bonus that you can actually withdraw really is fascinating, but oh my, why do you think alts are not worthy attention. Why do you consider a brokerage that can offer Bitcoin only for trading? Do you know that when Bitcoin gains 10% some of the decent alts can give 50% profit?

Yeap, I know that. But you see, I came in crypto market from regular stock market. I’ve been trading stocks for a few years and  I know for sure that investing in SnP500 index is much safer that investing on one of  the stocks from the list. Moreover, if you choose the wrong stock, you may run into troubles and the probability of such troubles is much higher if you use just one stock. Especially if it deals with some unexplored technologies or pharmaceuticals. Just one mistake of company’s management - and here is the black swan that swallows your deposit. I view Bitcoin as such index that shows the overall tendency in the crypto-world. When BTC grows, alts grow and vice versa. I don’t like alts for enormous 100%  risks that they offer along with high profits probability.

I see. Well, if we speak of unknown alts or ICO’s investments that must be true. But I also think that there are some alts that can compete with BTC in their reliability. However, if you do have some experience with stock trading this might really be a better strategy for you to stick to the well-known assets and add Bitcoin to those. Better than nothing from crypto-world anyway. So good luck. Let us know about the bonus if you dare to try.

If you mean Ripple or some other alts of this kind, yeah they can be called reliable in some sense. However, if reliability is based on the roots leading to a certain corporation, this nivelates the sense of being an altcoin. If you need a centralized asset to invest in - better choose some stock.
Anyway, I’ll keep in touch about the bonus. Just funded the account by $500. Hope this was not the last time I’ve seen this money 8)

You never know, you never know. Don’t mean to disappoint you, but I am VERY sceptic about the AAFX idea. Actually I’m skeptical about all forex brokers. They all give false promises and their main source of income is your lost deposit. I really hope it won’t be true in this case, but..

I understand. You are right in some sense. Many brokerages want traders to lose. But there are others that earn with commissions and spreads. I really hope AAFX is the second case. Was hoping to find some traders here that have tried the brokerage themselves but now I’m gonna be the pioneer myself. It’s been three weeks so far. I didn’t do any withdrawals yet, so have not much to say. On the other hand, they don’t do any of those dirty tricks with slippages and quotes manipulations for sure. At least I haven’t noticed any problems with executions so far. Bonus is putting some pressure on for sure, but the rest of it is ok so far.

Just wanted to drop a few lines. Remember, I was very sceptic about your broker. I know trading is a very stressful occupation by itself. I didn’t want you to feel bad about what I said. The reason I’m writing this is that I’ve read the AAFX CEO interview in a trading magazine. The interview created a good impression and looks like the broker is going to support MT5 sometime soon, which is a good sign. So let’s be more cheerful and good luck with your bonus!

Thank you, yeah, let’s be optimistic. They have this requirement that if you do the withdrawal, you don’t get the bonus. So I’ll be able to withdraw the funds only after the bonus time is over (not sure if I’ll get the requires turnover or not). But I will definitely let everyone know when I’m done with that, either successfully or not.

That’s correct. Only a withdrawal process can be the final evidence about broker being a scam or not. From what I see, AAFX offers a rather big leverage. It can be a powerful  weapon in fighting the markets. And I’m wishing you a good luck!

Thanks! Yes, the max leverage is 1:2000 for most of the assets, but its smaller for Bitcoin. Anyway, I’m not fond of using too much of the leverage anyway. I think the max reasonable lever is 1:100. Whatever is more is too risky. Unless you have some special trading strategies to make use of a bigger ratio. BTW I’m nearly done with my turnover. Making 5-10 trades a day using 5 minutes timeframe makes it not that difficult. I expected to have more trouble, but I did not realize before, that both entry and exit count for volume.

That’s correct point. Yet, this is highly advisable to trade with legal companies only. But what exactly is legal? This is a rather to discuss on a crypto forum and at this point I don’t feel prepared enough to start yet another holy war on the issue.
BTW, the turnover requirement is completed. I’ve contacted support to see if all is fine and I’m ready for the withdrawal :D

Ahhhaha, I’m ready to accept the congrats now. Fortunately enough I’ve done several extra trades and my trading volume exceeded the requested a little bit. The manager said they’ve released the bonus. Yet, I’ve seen the smaller volume in the report compared to what I expected to see. It turned out that the volume for the trades that didn’t last longer than 1 minute - did not count for turnover. It was in the rules, but I didn’t pay attention.
Nevertheless, the money is here already.
In these two months I’ve earned 17 bucks with trading (commissions included) and $175 with AAFX bonus. Ahahaha.. don’t even know whether I should keep trading. My results kinda show that I’m not the greatest trader in the world.

Yeah, that's the problem with forex intraday trading. You kinda keep feeding the broker with your commissions and spreads. The more trades you make, the better broker feels. I understand why bonus is just a one-time event, they kinda simply give you back the money they've earned with commissions, yet they don't want to do that forever.
Anyway, your result is not that bad. If you can earn a little, you definitely are capable of improving your trading and earning more. At least you didn't lose more than the bonus amount. That's the most important thing!

You must be kidding, this is a great results! Congratulations!
Unbelievable that you can actually withdraw the bonus. Untill this post about the withdrawal I was absolutley sure that they will let you know that you've violated some rules. And the funniest thing you actually did violate some, bus still got a bonus. Unbelievable!
Do you still trade with the same brokerage?

Thanx man, yeah, that was an unexpectedly pleasant experience.
I took a break first to breath out and come back to normal. Yeah, now I've started trading again. I think the profession is of a high demand nowadays, when so many people lose their jobs and live in these unpredicatble circumstances. Factories get closed, restaurants get closed, so do small businessess. But financial markets are going to live forever. Rich men won't let them sink. Its better to have a plan B and learn to trade well so that this can be my another profession and occupation just in case.
My depo at AAFX is not that big yet, but I do have some savings. If my trading goes well enough, i'll increase the depo.

I agree totally. I tried investing in alts in 2019 and that didn't go too well. I tend to think that this the cause is the same you've mentioned above. Richest people of the world simply don't need any cometitors. Forex will live forever. I hope cryptoassets will do either but you never know...
Title: Re: AAFX Trading reviews: any good for cryptocurrencies?

Can't disagree that forex will live forever, but similarly, very few ordinary people will be able to profit here.
When cryptomarkets emerged, they attracted lots of retail investors as buy-n-hold strategy worked well enough and long enough.
Forex is full of HFTs and professional players that can manipulate markets with their volumes. It is still attractive, but you know, making money here is very complicated. Even a break-even result is great enough, so once again, congratulations to the TS. Considering you've got the bonus and manged to withdraw it, that's definitely a big win.
Title: Re: AAFX Trading reviews: any good for cryptocurrencies?
Post by: Sajinn on July 18, 2020, 01:32:30 AM
Thank you! That's correct, forex is tough. But I don't think this happens because of manipulations. Cryptocurrencies and especially alts are more likely to be manipulated as not that much volume is needed to move the price here. I guess we've all seen enough alts pumps-n-dumps to make our conclusions. Yet, yeah, forex is tough. I thik that's because its hard to beat the market taking spreads in account. you kinds start every position with a little loss, and that's little demotivating.  I'm still balancing at a near break-even result here.

Why don't you look at longer-term trading?
Daytrading turns in rat racing with these spreads, totally agree. Myself I've chosen investor's path long ago. I tend to  stick to alts and cryptocurrencies, but the idea is the same for fiat currencies trading. The bigger scope you take in account, the easier it is to trade.

Well, probably this is just your thought and opinion dude, about you, don't like altcoins. But don't you know that most of the community here including me are gaining altcoins in cryptocurrency? Because if your understanding is right for sure only stable coin will survive in this field of business. Hope you get what I'm giving it to you.

Journaling the trades can help for sure.

Trading business is more about money-management as I see it. Form this perspective alts are excellent opportunity to invest and gain a lot in short-term, as we've learnt from the past. Yet, there is always another side of a trade here, which is a stop loss. With altcoins the risk (especially when dealing with relatively new alts) must always be considered to be 100% of the initial investment. Some people invest it all in alts, and that's ok when you are risking the money you can really lose without much of regrets. The courage to take sufficient risks is very good trait of a character for a businessman.
Yet for me personally (and I'm not trying to say this is the only correct way to do it) - alts and Bitcoin itself - these are all opportunities that the volatility of these assets gives. In other words, I don't want to stake it all in the idea that BTC or some alts will gain 1000X in a month or a year having the risk of 100% loss on the other side of the coin. I want to take advantage of the VOLATILITY, which means I am ready to be making less money if I can make it on both rising AND FALLING markets.

Yeah, that's why I'm trying to trade upper timeframes now. With 1H timeframe I have to leave lots of trades overnight  (speaking of AAFX that's actually very nice that they don't have overnight fees and swaps). Some can last a week or so. It's less stressful than daytrading. Yet, this is still not investment as each trade has both stop loss and profit target. In investments you can limit the risks, but you should leave the target somewhere in the moon area :)
The other good point about 1H timeframes is that  they technically work better. Especially with Bitcoin.

There will be risks in every job so no matter what you do you need to know the basics by analyzing the market well. AAFX Trading Review looks a lot better to me it is much easier to make a profit when investing in Bitcoin. Gives the maximum profit and the amount of fee for exchange is much less first you have to analyze before you start it is very difficult to give accurate information because the market is not stable.

Interesting observation @ upper timeframes. I've noticed smth like that with all alts as well. They really react well to major resistances and supports. The higher is the timeframe, the better is the reaction.

true, I've never met a person having a direct positive slippage experience. But that could be a nice marketing trick though for brokers to promote they can actually have positive requotes or slippages. Like a free lottery that you never win, but that's a nice feeling to know you do have a chance :)

I have finally decided to open a real trading account. I deposited $200 and started trading currency pairs, using 0,01 lots and 1:500 leverage. Well, these are not big volumes but I want to gradually move from demo trading to real one and such volumes are OK in this regard.

I guess you shouldn’t stay with 0,01 for a long time because this way you can get used to false safety – you will not care about losses because they aren’t so scary.

Perhaps, I will follow your advice and try XRP and ETH later. I’m currently trading BTC with AAFX and really enjoy how the broker executes my orders.  I’m focusing on BTC now as I believe it's easier to trade. Afterall, it’s the number one digital coin with the biggest liquidity, and respectively investment potential. Besides this, as I know, this broker doesn’t support any other digital coins except for BTC. So, to trade altcoins I need to do this with another broker to to wait until AAFX will introduce. As of now, trading BTC only with this broker suits me.

It makes sense to trade these coins because they often copy Bitcoin’s moves. On the other hand, many altcoins today demonstrate ups and downs that aren't similar to what’s shown by BTC.

I will try all this stuff later. I have a deep interest in the crypto world. It’s very promising in terms of marking money, but I need some time to get used to bigger lots, in particular, 0.1-0.5.

What’s your impression of these lots?
Title: Re: AAFX Trading reviews: any good for cryptocurrencies?

I can illustrate it as a mixture of curiosity and fear. Bigger lots certainly make me more nervous but my strong interest in trading gradually overcomes it. When I used smaller lots, I had a feeling that it’s very safe. That’s a very cozy feeling you know. But it weakens your will and as a result your readiness to develop as a trader gradually decreases. You know that a human brain always resists any attempts to go beyond your comfort zone. It keeps sabotaging it and it does it very skillfully. It seems to you that you are controlling yourself but in reality you are “sleeping”, making very subtle moves towards what you want, gradually stepping back from it. For the last time, I have learned one crucial thing. It’s much easier to tame your lazy brain if you trade a lot.

2020 has gone and greatly backed my belief in a strong potential of digital coins. They have more than just met my expectations - they have even surpassed them and I’m happy that I invested in cryptocurrency, in particular Bitcoin with this broker. For the last two months of 2020, I managed to earn $500 and now my depo accounts for $725.
Of course, I could earn more if I used bigger lots, but my initial depo wasn’t big enough for that.
When Bitcoin started skyrocketing once again I immediately lost interests in other assets, including currency pairs and metals and focused on BTC. So, I’m satisfied with my latest experience with this broker. The only thing I want to be improved is that the broker doesn’t support any other cryptos except for BTC. I hope it will add more soon.

Yeah, this mind-blowing crypto ascend is insane. How many folks who call themselves experts tried to bury cryptocurrency. They told it would end up as any other market bubble. But guess what, the bubble keeps growing! I really envy those guys who managed to buy Bitcoin very low and held their positions until now. They might have earned big money.
However, despite another impressive success demonstrated by Bitcoin, I still can’t call it a protective asset. I guess it’s still a speculative asset but with a very strong potential to survive. However, I don’t exclude a possibility that it will become a true protective asset just like gold in the near future. At least, it has survived the current economic meltdown provoked by Covid.

I don’t exclude the likelihood that Bitcoin may leap to $50k soon.

I’m psychologically ready for this leap and I’m already preparing for this. I want to open one more account with AAFX. I will trade cryptos on it too. However, I don’t exclude trading other assets because when I focus on just one financial instrument I overlook many opportunities.

AAFX I see that this is a new exchange and there is also a new exchange called AAX this is an exchange whose name is almost the same, it is very suspicious, so you have to stay alert with new exchanges.

I think this exchange is very good and hopefully it can compete with some of the other big exchanges, of course the most important thing is security when making transactions at the exchange, because an exchange that is easy to use and has high security will make many people interested and try to trade there.

For the last trading Bitcoin with AAFX, I have managed to increase my depo significantly. The tremendous growth of Bitcoin has slowed down and it feels like it hasn’t gathered up enough strength for another leap, but it may happen soon. I just don’t want to believe that it’s going to tumble very low, as it did in 2017. However, everything may happen.

I suppose there is no need to panic and pay much attention to the decline in bitcoin prices. Although after Elon Musk invested $ 1.5 million in bitcoin, and also announced that Tesla will sell its products for Bitcoin, this cryptocurrency soared again to $ 48,000 And this is not the limit this year. I believe that the current period is just the beginning of the bull run.

I agree. Virtually, nothing prevents Bitcoin to skyrocket once again. So, I think that it’s a temporary pause and soon we will see it conquering new highs.
There can be the obstacles, no doubt. For example, market makers may decide to drop BTC, using any formal reason. For example, they may come up with another series of clampdowns on crypto exchanges. Information campaigns can be launched to compromise BTC.
It feels like the world is welcoming blockchain, but on another hand, traditional economies with their fiat currencies will do their best to defeat their digital rival that showed up from nowhere. Today, the world and economies are busy with COVID and have no time to clash with cryptos as they did before the pandemia. So, I think once the global economy recover, cryptos may be bullied again. Of course noone can be 100% sure about it.

I also have some doubts regarding cryptos because they don’t have regulation, but until cryptos exist I will keep earning on them. I also want to try my hand at currency trading. Earlier I wasn’t interested in them. For this purpose, I opened another account, an ECN one. I’ve already deposited $400, but I haven’t made a single trade yet. I’m curious about currencies and hope I will trade them profitably with AAFX as I trade Bitcoin.

maybe it should be tried , it just needs to improve various marketing strategies if you want to grow and develop like the market on coinmarketcap , so that more and more traders enter the platform and the daily volume also increase .

All-mighty Bitcoin keeps impressing me so much. I really don’t know what to expect from this wild beast. When it was struggling to grow in 2019 and 2020 until the summer of that year, I thought that this popular coin was doomed to smash itself against the bottom.
I thought it would reverse once hitting $50k, but now I see that I was wrong. It has already hit 60k and it feels like soon it will go higher. So, I’m ready for another hike. It feels like it will happen soon. Of course, there may be a correction. That’s a never-ending rock-n-roll with cryptos. I hope it will continue for at least five years.

What I would outline, there is lack of transparency on music field. Wouldn't say that I follow many worthwhile ecosystems with real value. Would outline Utopia. Looks like they are coming with uniqueness on music field. Through the UOP, artists will be able to ask their fans and investors to crowdfund their projects. Their tokenized songs are attributed to The International Standard Recording Code (ISRC), which entails the right to collect revenue for the song, and the ability to distribute the revenue to the people who have sponsored the track. While this is easy to take for granted, the archaic structures of the institutional music industry have limited such seemingly straightforward accounting mechanisms, as evidenced by the Black Box, where billions of dollars are lost every year. Read on https://utopiagenesis.com/, curious to discucc

I have always been interested why calculations can be valued as money and every computer involved in solving equations for Bitcoin acts as a major bank that issues currency. That’s still a big mystery for me, but it works.

Bitcoin as well as other cryptos have already proved that they can be a good haven against inflation. I heard many major investors have already pumped huge funds into cryptocurrency. So, this rally is being boosted.

I also heard about that. These marker makers are unpredictable beasts but it feels like they decided to push cryptos up and it’s great. By the way, I increased my second depo to $512 by trading BTC and I made a pause. I need to think what’s going on. The broker suits me as a platform to trade Bitcoin but I hope they will add more digital coins soon.
I’m very excited by cryptos but feel I need to take some time to learn more about them.
Moreover, I want to pay more attention to gold and silver. These are classical assets that have a definite advantage over fiat currencies. But I feel that my mind is overloaded, so I need to calm down.

I traded actively for the last week and managed to increase my second depo $637. All that time I traded  BTCUSD and BTCEUR. I made many trades and not all of them were profitable, but I managed to remain in the green territory. Bitcoin is very cunning in the flat market. So, I’m currently learning to scalp cryptos. Previously I only held long-term trades on these financial instruments.
I should say that I’m happy when I have an opportunity to hold exactly long-term trades because once you entered the market at the right time, you don’t need to worry any more. Instead, all you need to do is to move your take profits following the market.

Yeah, long-term trading is a never-ending joy when you do things right. That’s what I felt when traded stocks. As I know, it’s possible to trade stocks in the long-term only. I heard nothing about scalping stocks. When it comes to long-term trading, the only hazard that can hurt you is your broker’s reliability. If everything is ok in this regard, there’s nothing to worry about.

I also tried to scalp cryptos but I think these assets are born to be traded in the long term only. I think there are more suitable financial instruments for scalping. For example, I can point to currency pairs. When it comes to crypto trading I simply look for good entry points for my long-term trades. I know that I can relax once I made it come true.

I don’t question this broker’s reliability. I have a feeling that I can hold my trades here as long as I need. However, I realize that I can’t hold my trades all the time. I may not have an opportunity to enter the market at the right time. In this regard, scalping has an indisputable advantage - you can scalp at any time no matter where the market moves on the chosen financial instrument.
For that last time, I have tried everything in the arsenal of this broker except for stocks and agricultural stuff such as corn, wheat, soybean, rice, coffee, etc. I’m currently exploring them and want to start trading them soon.

you are absolutely right. for scalping, you need to choose only cryptocurrencies that are suitable for this strategy. In any case, when I was taught this strategy, I was advised to take cryptocurrencies with high volatility and high trading volumes, but not from the top ten rating.

It feels like my pot is boiling. So much information needs to be processed and what’s more important - properly understood. For the last time I have become overloaded with market information.
As told above, I tried to explore agricultural stuff to trade it, but then I lost interest in it. Perhaps, I will try to explore stocks a bit later. Now I decided to make the most of currency and crypto trading. After all, I know something about various currency pairs and digital coins because I intensively trade this stuff, but agriculture will just eat up my precious time, but I don’t want to lose it.

The fact is that today some companies already offer digital securities that are created on the blockchain and are digital analogs of real stocks. Based on this, you should not leave the cryptocurrency market, but continue to study what it offers.

The things gold and silver did recently require a very good reaction if you simultaneously trade a number of other assets such as several currency pairs. Those instantly growing giant candlesticks impressed me a lot.
