The Agharta hard fork is less than 3 days away, but only 44% of the nodes have installed the latest updates. In this regard, the developers of Ethereum Classic called on the community to urgently update their clients.

The Agharta update is a technical hard fork that will add the functionality of the Constantinople Ethereum upgrade to the Ethereum Classic network. This is necessary to improve compatibility between ETH and ETC blockchains, so that smart contracts and dApps can freely migrate from one network to another and Vice versa.

The bottom line is that Ethereum Classic is not going to switch to the POS-algorithm and after Vitalik Buterin and Co do it for Ethereum, those who want to work on the POW-algorithm will be able to go to the ETC network.
