Are Crypto Assets and Crypto currencies different?

Not the right thread to ask this question. You could have asked in the altcoins section.
I don't think that Crypto Assets and Crypto Currencies really have any specific meaning, its just become popular by its usage.
However, there is clearly a difference between assets and currencies. Assets is anything you hold. Currency is a denomination of value. As far my knowledge only few cryptos are used as currencies ie. for payments for goods and services through Bitpay, Litepay etc.
