Title: Bitcoin's Price Drop Has Rattled The Cryptocurrency Scammers.
Post by: Paglamon on April 11, 2020, 11:01:45 AM
Probably the biggest culprit in the eyes of the cryptocurrency scammers is the crash in bitcoin's price. Given the huge bloodbath bitcoin endured, if the scammers chose to cash out now, they would not be reaping the same amount.  The report by Chainalysis suggested the value in their native coins gathered by scammers have remained the same but the fall in bitcoin has made their diabolic plans take a back seat, for now.
The reports state that due to the pandemic, more material for fake stories and Ponzi schemes is at the disposal of the cryptocurrency scammers, however, the drop in price has also dropped the revenue potential significantly. However, the scammers have come up with new tricks to dupe the gullible customers by phishing emails and claiming that they have got the coronavirus and they would infect their family if they fail to make them the payment.

Whats your opinion?  Explain here.

The sheer number of scams has increased though (https://deposit-withdraw.com/covid-19-crypto-extortion-scams-on-the-rise/), likely to compensate for that problem.

We know that fraud has always been, is and will be. Cryptocurrency is very convenient for scammers, since they remain anonymous and it is very difficult to detect them because they can be in any country in the world, and law enforcement agencies are very bureaucratic, slow and do not always interact with each other.
Any new events - good or bad, scammers will always use for their own purposes.

Before the advent of cryptocurrency, life was pretty boring for hackers as they mainly hunted for certain information and bragged about hacking certain secure sites. Now their hunt has taken on a clearly financial connotation. Moreover, huge amounts of money are usually concentrated in cryptocurrency. Therefore, hacking and fraud in cryptocurrency has reached a very large scale and gullible investors are now losing very large amounts of money because of them. This is one of the big problems of cryptocurrency market participants and, apparently, it will not disappear anywhere.

Although during the epidemic scammers could not make a scam too. There are lots of users in the bitcoin market. Where fraud can occur, this is normal. Lots of people plan all sorts of frauds to steal their city money. A part of the bad cycle. Scammers phishing emails, using various good company names to lure people to invest. So I think this kind of work will continue. Because there are two types of people in the cryptocurrency market, good and bad. Must be active in detecting scams. However, the epidemic season was not seen as a scam project.

The bitcoin market is now skyrocketing.  As a result, all investors have now moved on to Bitcoin.  Spamming has started to be very rare.  If the bitcoin market is good, more investors will come.
