The Trezor wallet can be compared to the Ledger Nano S in terms of security and usability. However, the price around $100- $150 is a bit high for a normal holder.

I like Trezor more than Ledger. 59€ for Trezor One is good price, I think.

There are rumors spreading that our eshop database has been hacked thru a Shopify exploit. Our eshop does not use Shopify, but we are nonetheless investigating the situation. We've been also routinely purging old customer records from the database to minimize the possible impact.

The rumor about leaked customer data from our e-shop is a hoax.

We have investigated the sample data and confirm it does not match our client data. We anonymize e-shop data after 90 days from the purchase.

Details of firmware updates for Trezor One (version 1.9.1) and Trezor Model T (version 2.3.1)

This Wednesday we are releasing the firmware update 1.9.1 for Trezor One and 2.3.1 for Trezor Model T devices. Apart from some internal refactoring tasks, the main reason to deliver the updates is to fix a security vulnerability found by Saleem Rashid. The bug was reported via our responsible disclosure program and we thank Saleem for yet another great contribution.

Trezor September Firmware updates

This update covers a number of changes, but most importantly it introduces a security enhancement for passphrase on both Trezor models. Now, when you set a passphrase for your accounts (we strongly recommend that you do), you will now be asked to confirm it on your device. A warning prompt will display on your Trezor’s screen, telling you that the next screen will be your passphrase.

Our official announcement regarding Bitcoin Cash hard fork.

Trezor will not be supporting any coin split that may result from it.

Bitcoin Cash will be undergoing a hard fork on November 15 to attempt to implement a new model for mining rewards distribution. SatoshiLabs will continue to support the current implementation of Bitcoin Cash called Bitcoin ABC, though there may be service interruptions during the hard fork. Depending on user consensus following the fork, this will either remain unchanged or switch to supporting only the forked chain, named Bitcoin Cash Node.

Following the Bitcoin Cash hard fork, the overwhelming majority of nodes have shown support for Bitcoin Cash Node over Bitcoin Cash ABC.

Satoshi Lans will support this decision and has replaced the Bitcoin Cash ABC software running on its servers with Bitcoin Cash Node software.

Security can be simpler than it's made out to be.

SMS two-factor and TOTP are flawed; just use your Trezor as a FIDO2 authenticator for a more comfortable experience.
