The metrics used to measure Bitcoin’s mining activity are approaching their ATHs, indicating an increase in the number of active miners on the bitcoin network, as they eagerly prepare for next week’s halving.

Since 2013 it was indeed a metric for the price increase of Bitcoin when Halving continued to rise.
But I am not sure about the Halving metric for May 2020 because the price is still stable at 9000-8000 USD.

It may also be that in 2013 everyone did not believe in rising prices but for now we can see that at the end of 2020.

I can see that BTC is gradually moving its pace as we approach halving but reaching 50k$ soon or even this year would not be happening. The crisis all over thr world is still ongoing and evej though a lot of people wanted to invest to rise demand, there are still people who needed to allocate their funds somewhere. Also we will experience a series of dumps before even going to bullish season first.
