Given similar events to halve the remuneration of miners in 2012 and 2016, in the first few months there may indeed be a malfunction with bitcoin transactions. However, then the network should even improve. The price of bitcoin in connection with this event should increase significantly only during the year. Therefore, we need patience. I think wise miners will keep accumulating their daily mined btc invesntory untill the price surges and makes new highs so that they can profit nicely especially when expected scenario is bullish from here on.
