Jesse Powell, a highly regarded market guru and the CEO of Kraken cryptocurrency exchange said the price of bitcoin could surpass $100,000 as early as 2022. This would be an appreciation of over 1000% within a mere two years.
He added that the flagship cryptocurrency would even be worth $1 trillion if people across the globe knew it and the great potential it possesses.

It is unlikely that Bitcoin will ever be able to reach a price of one hundred thousand dollars, and not just two years later. Despite numerous predictions even for a significantly higher price, it seems to me that people will not invest very large amounts of money in bitcoin and risk them if the price of bitcoin, given its high price volatility, drops back to its previous level.
We have already seen what happened to the cryptocurrency market after its price rose to $ 20,000. If Bitcoin makes a few more similar price spikes, who will again step on the same rake. It will be very indicative in terms of the possibility of its further price growth if bitcoin breaks its previous price record and reaches at least $ 30,000.

I think this is another non-sense prediction from popular person. I still don't see the factors that Bitcoin can increase its price to $100,000. We all know that $100,000 is a very big price and if it really happens how the reaction of all people around the world? I think the government may not let it happens. And also, how the price of Bitcoin to achieve $100,000? Do we think it really happens because of hype or trends? I never think that it really can help much in Bitcoin price move. :D

if in my opinion it's a good prediction we don't know what will happen to bitcoin all just predictions and not necessarily the truth, if in 2 years the price of bitcoin reaches $ 100,000 if I think it's good because it can help our economy that will get a big profit

To me this is more like a wishful thinking, there are no indices anywhere supporting such claims, Bitcoin won't see such price spike. I don't see the price going above $20,000 - $25,000 in the next 2 years speculation he talked about. I think some of these well known guys on this space, make some statements to stay relevant.

The idea is that he cannot be an expert. It is impossible that the price of bitcoin will change so much in two years. I think the price of bitcoin could be $30,000 in 2022. Honestly, I doubt this prediction as achieving $100,000 in 2 years isn't an easy thing. We know that the current price even cannot reach $10,000. Then, how the price of Bitcoin can peak over $100,000? The surge in price must have big factors, it cannot happen suddenly. Although everything depnds on the supply-demand in the market, but the interest of people to buy should have strong reasons. Well, I still didn't see a big reason for people to buy massively except for investment as usual.

I think he predicted it not based on the clear criterioa and indicators. We all know that this BTC wil not be able to increase the price in the very high orice only in 3 years. You have a good point here. If Bitcoin surpasses it all time hight of 2017, and jump to $100k in 2 years to come, how would people afford to buy?. Just like you put it, " If Bitcoin makes a few more similar price spikes, who will again step on the same rake". This is a good for thought in my opinion. Thanks

I know that their is alot of prediction like this , in which famous invester and holder say that bitcoin even able to touch 1 MILLION USD in future .
But I think these are useless predictions , I didn't think bitcoin acchive $100K within two years .

$100,000 In Just Two Years? I will never trust this kind of crazy prediction. This is a too high prediction of the BTC price that will make many people expect too much. And when they don't meet the price, they will be so frustrated because of this. So, better to be more realized than expecting too high price at all.

Sorry, I doubt it. I think to reach $100,000 only 2 years seems rather hard to happen. It is not a small number, the gaps is too big from the current price. I think it needs more years to see the price above $50K if the Bitcoin continues to grow. In my opinion, the possible price to reach is about $20K - $25K.

Kraken is just one of the grouiin crypto space who is free to tell their opinion but this doesn't mean that we can go and believe their saying. Because the fact that the price is speculation is too high the said time is also to short.

I also expect that the price can increase as high as possible. But I am not a typical person who dream unrealistic thing. $100,000 to achieve in two years, isn't something easy to happen. I doubt this price to be achieved as you stated above, even there is no guarantee that the market trend is always good.

Bitcoin circulating supply just 18,464,131 pieces, which small amount to Billion of People population from 7.5 Billion on 2018 to 7.8 Billion as of August 2020. Very possible that Bitcoin will reach $100,000 if 1 billion of people invest in bitcoin as we can see how huge the humanity.

The prediction is not only expected since 2020 but has been predicted since the second halving occurred and the estimated increase will be the same as in 2017.
but the increase that occurs will be doubled from the calculation in 2013 to 2017, where the difference is quite significant.
$100K is a fair thing for bitcoin to do at the end of this year, in fact if you look at the difference it can be ascertained that there is an increase of more than just $100K. but the possible upgrade will be until Q1 2022.
