Bloomberg: Only a Matter of Time Before Tether Overtakes Ether as #2

"If Tether has its own blockchain network.
If Tether becomes a coin it is not stable ".

Both of these points, I'm sure that Tether will be able to defeat Ethereum at number 2 in Coinmarketcap.
But if Tether is still as it is now then don't expect it because Tether will be able to defeat Ethereum because the fluctuations are rapidly increasing and decreasing the capacity of money circulating in the market.

First, we will need to see what ethereum will be after the introduction of improvements to Ethereum 2.0. This will be another coin with new features. However, even if tether overtakes ethereum in terms of capitalization, it will mean almost nothing and will not change anything in the world of cryptocurrencies. Tether is not a full-fledged cryptocurrency, it is just a digitized dollar, its counterpart in the world of cryptocurrencies. They do not compete with each other.

I don't think it's time for Tether to overtake Ethereum at current prices because Ethereum is millions of USD from USDT in market capacity.
Then I also think this is something that is valuable to the USDT because USDT (will be able to) defeat EThereum.

If Ethereum returns to 100 USD then (possibly) Tether will go to the podium to rank 2 CoinMarketCap.

Tether is unlikely to overtake ethereum in terms of capitalization. Now various stable coins of the states will massively appear and they will significantly distract the attention of the participants of the cryptocurrency market. First of all, this applies to the Chinese digitized yuan. In the future, this stable coin can greatly increase in popularity and partially pick it up in tether.
However, even if this happens and tether overtakes ethereum in the CoinMarketCap table, it will practically not affect anything.

It is true that the time for Tether can defeat Ethereum because time can change the history of altcoins at any time.

Remember the history of Bitcoin when it was first created and we will not know that the price of Bitcoin is under 1 USD. Now the price of Bitcoin is around 9410 USD.
Is there something wrong with "time" because Ehereum could lose the price and Tether could be stable at 1 USD.

Tether cannot just take over Ethereum's place on coinmarketcap regarding capitalization as they are not a direct competitor. Once the upgrade of Ethereum v 2.0 is released to public with the way it's value is increasing lately and holding strong, it won't take over. Even if Tether manage to climb up to number 2 on coinmarketcap, it still won't be justified as higher because Tether is simple just digital dollar while Ethereum is a blockchain coin with numerous functionality.

I think Bloomberg is far from thinking about it because now Tether is again overtaken by RIpple.

Indeed this Ripple is extraordinary when the price goes up, Ripple easily beat Tether.
If Bloomberg talks like the one in this thread, then I think "it takes a long time" to reach this reality.
