Title: Any freelancers here that use crypto/blockchain?
Post by: VeryWellDone on June 06, 2020, 07:25:37 AM
Are there any freelancers/work-from-home that came from the pandemic who's using crypto to receive payment? There may be a lot in this forum since this is crypto-based but I'm wondering for the rest of the world if they do that.

Since blockchains are public ledger and data is immutable, anybody can look up your transaction history and see every single transaction you’ve ever made — who they came from and where they went to. Furthermore, they can piggyback on the addresses that you’ve interacted with or have interacted with you to see their activities. Giving anybody your address was not only showing not only enables them to see your net worth, it also enables them to figure out who you worked with and when.

Businesses can instead use transactional privacy (https://medium.com/concordium/blockchain-and-the-digital-nomad-5000da4aadd9) for users while creating mechanisms for accountability through identity providers and anonymity revokers. This will enable businesses and users to adapt on-the-fly through tailor-made solutions for all their compliance needs.

What can help the fast-growing number of digital no mads in 2020 to adopt to crypto, together with their bosses?

I personally would really like to find such a freelance platform that is associated with crypto. That would be very cool. But I haven’t met one yet.

Yes of course there is a lot of crypto users and freelancers here in this forum, and you are right also the cryptocurrency is using blockchain technology. but as a public ledger, anyone can track your address and your transaction and even your holdings worth, I think thats the main purpose of the Blockchain technology to promote decentralization and transparency. But there's is several privacy focus platforms like Monero but those privacy focus coins were not ending will because the government doesn't permit them to operate. and slowly delisted on crypto exchanges especially in the U.S.

In my point of view cryptocurrency payment is not yet the right time due to fiat world standard basis of rate. I don't know who will gain more between the company or workers. Maybe when cashless society come, using blockchain is part of business to adopt cryptocurrency as much as possible.

It is still rare to find, especially in my country. Crypto is only used for digital assets and not as the payment tool. This condition makes crypto a bit slow to improve and not many platforms use the crypto till now.

If you are talking about the main job payment, I am not. I work for a school and it is not paid in crypto. However, I also work in the crypto world, doing some campaigns here and another forum. And the payment is in cryptocurrency., It really helps me to survive in this pandemic era.

I don't fully understand your topic but i can say that only bitcoin or cryptocurrency friendly countries people using cryptocurrency as their daily purposes. Japan, Canada, india, Spain, Germany, USA, Australia, New Zealand and Estonia accept their payments systems using cryptocurrency.

One of the first things we need is a clear and transparent legal framework for crypto. Only then can projects be allowed to exist legally and operate effectively in the future. At that time, crypto users will not only be freelancers but all people who use crypto to transfer money, pay or store assets.

Maybe. But only a little. For freelancers, it is difficult to accept payments via crypto, because crypto prices are volatile, so that makes freelancers think twice. Maybe many will receive payments via PayPal.

The replies here are not in syncronization with the question. the OP request if there is any platform that pays with cryptocurrencies. Most freelancing platform pays with skrill, paypal and other forms of digital money which can be converted to local cash. the question here is, is there any known platform that pays remote workers with cryptocurrency. if you have one, kindly share with us.

No, in my country, crypto is only legal for digital asset or investment. But, it is still not legal enough for the payment method, moreover for the salary of the jobs. However, if we are talking about payment working in the crypto world for the signature campaign, yes I have it.
