I have noticed that the number of points per post has decreased significantly recently. Initially I was getting 20 points per post, then 14, then it was 10, then 9, and all of a sudden it seems to have dropped to only 2 points. Is this the standard points system or does it vary depending on rank, length of post, number of posts etc. Just wondering if everyone has the same experience?

Admin posted about this very shortly that he would add something that would count symbols in text to fight with spam. There have to be exact number of symbols in your post to get more points. I think that this is how this new system works but I am not sure. Would be great if Admin can explain how exactly this works. If this works how I have described I think is great tool and will help to fight with spam to some extend and the rest moderators will have to find and delete.

That's awesome, thanks for the link. I agree 100% with the reasoning behind it, just missed the announcement. So many useless replies and not enough people starting genuine threads or giving worthwhile responses. This will definitely bring up the overall standard over time. That said, glad I got in a few space-fillers first :-X Onwards and upwards...
