Title: [McAfee drama] Attitude towards crypto of a former crypto advisor
Post by: MrSpasybo on June 20, 2020, 07:52:09 PM
Perhaps McAfee was tired of making a comment about the relationship between the price of BTC and the seriousness of himself, this time he enlightened the community about the difference between "use" and "invest".
He seems to continue to think that he is still a celebrity in the crypto world :)

@officialmcafee
I do not invest in Crypto.
I use Crypto.
Big difference.

Of course, there is a difference between the concepts of "invest in cryptocurrency" and "use cryptocurrency". However, the discussion on this subject by John McAfee, in principle, does not interest me. After a while, he can again speak and say that he was joking. Whoever lied once is not trusted.

Yes, he should be responsible and accountable about what he said about btc price because we all know that he created kind of fomo with his statements and people rushed to buy btc after his claims but after that we have seen nothing but a long downtrend amd the worst part is that mcafee does not talks about price now and he seems to disown himself from his old btc price remarks now.

John is just trying to make himself stay relevant because soon he will just be considered as another joker in this expanding business as he is losing his credibility fast like a hot cake. I do credit him for his early contributions in making cryptocurrency more popular though.

He explained it: it was a joke. I don't think we can joke about eating our own p***s :)

McAfee used to be very famous and one of the most trusted crypto advisers, but after the BTC price predictions, he lost credibility and was forced to have childish games to warm up his name... I think his goal is to sell his anti-virus software ^^

He must be aging not so well so he has become a conflicted man. Now, I am not sure if he is still the owner of the anti-virus company he founded. I am sure that from time to time he will be landing on the news with controversial comments really worth publishing according to the cheap standards of the press focusing on crypto or not...

"Since leaving McAfee Associates, he has founded the companies Tribal Voice (makers of the PowWow chat program), QuorumEx and Future Tense Central, among others, and has been involved in leadership positions in the companies Everykey, MGT Capital Investments and Luxcore, among others. His personal and business interests include smartphone apps, cryptocurrency, yoga, and all-natural antibiotics."
+1 for news about current McAfee jobs.
Yeah, thank you for the useful information, I have been wondering for a while now where McAfee is spending time researching cryptos while still busy killing viruses ^^
He has almost nothing to do with this antivirus software besides the name :)
Now we understand: everyone needs money to live. And media can make a lot of money!
