Hi Everybody,
As mentionned in the title, I am a total rookie in the cryptocurrency world, that is why I start by the "Beginners corner"
I have what is probably an unusual question on this forum, and if it is unappropriate, don't hesitate to let me know.
My job is Financial Analyst (CFA), and long time ago I registered a domain name related to money (of course)
Unfortunatly this project remained on the "back burn", due to other priorities and recently I received some "contacts" (as I cannot call that offers yet) from an anonymous buyer, through a lawyer office as far as I understood.
It seems that the interested party is involved in the crypto-currency industry.
So I am looking for unbiaised opinions regarding the relevant parameters which could help me to make a pricing for this domain name.
Thanks in advance

I would suggest that you decide on what that domain name is worth to you, not what it is worth to someone else. If you have no intention of developing a website yourself, then the price you can command will always be limited. If they are making a decent offer, I would seriously consider it, as they may just move on to another domain name if you don't respond. Unless you have an unbelievably short and succinct name, then it's value is only ever in the eye of the beholder. Maybe you could consider listing it on a domain selling website and see what sort of responses you get. That might give you a better idea of it's worth. Either way, in my opinion, you're better to cash in sooner rather than later. The days of selling domain names for mega bucks is by and large over, take the win and move on. Or develop the site yourself, build traffic and a database to increase the value that way. Good luck.

There are some good sites that show the history of domain names selling. Here are some:
Namebio
Etsibot
domainsherpa
There are also some tools, that can calculate your domain names value. Of course these are only, to get an idea. I think that, if you do not want to use the domain name, it's better to sell it with a limited, price.
