Title: How effective can blockchain be in healthcare during this pandemic?
Post by: VeryWellDone on July 16, 2020, 11:12:54 AM
We can only imagine how hard it is for statisticians to keep track of all that's happening in the world right now, COVID, and other diseases slowly growing in different countries. During these crazy times, how can blockchain help and be beneficial?

For Symbol, their enhanced security could allow healthcare providers to run secure, decentralized databases (https://es.cointelegraph.com/news/nem-catapult-is-proposed-as-a-solution-to-protect-hospital-data). Furthermore, considering that data is a critical asset in the healthcare industry, the use of blockchain technology could be very useful for the sector.

Is this something that hospitals, health centers, governments should take a look into? Especially that this virus can stay with us for 1~2 more years.

I think the only way we can know effective blockchain can be in this time of pandemics is to have a existing healthcare blockchain system that's already running in the blockchain industry with their own digital currencies already adopted from their people can access medical attention through the blockchain.

It can be very useful, imagine the speed and all other benefits that people can get from blockchain,, it will be very useful, even cost-wise

If Symbol becomes successful in the healthcare sector, then their token will surely gain value. I imagine hospital records that are still operating in paper is still huge, they can speed everything up and secure data with the help of blockchain technology.

Yes, I agree with your opinion. That Blockchain should have health care applications. So that people who want to donate money to help the medical personnel can get well.

In my present situation for Blockchain is not affected by the huge of the pandemic. Even trading volumes for digital currencies have increased. So with the features of healthcare services, we can also get information about developments.

In healthcare, blockchain technology can be applied in many fields. Patient data and health information are still often stored on servers of different parties such as GPs, hospitals or insurance companies.

Improved self-determination and data transparency are perhaps the greatest benefit to the patient and other stakeholders in the healthcare system. Hospitals have direct access to up-to-date patient medical data to ensure the best possible care when the patient is admitted to the hospital or emergency.
