Please there's something I really want to understand about this crypto industry because at times as a newbie in this cryptocurrency industry you might get this wrong by making more mistakes in crypto. Does crypto name really matter before it become successful?
-
I don't think the name of the cryptocurrency matters much to its popularity and demand. Sometimes cryptocurrencies similar in name are deliberately created to mislead potential investors. This sometimes works, but not for long. Also, sometimes the name affects a very well-promoted project with good marketing. This also does not last long.
The name of bitcoin as the first cryptocurrency has a special role in cryptocurrency.
However, the shitty cryptocurrency whatever you call it, it remains shitty.
-
I think it does matter but it is just a secondary factor because obviously short, easy to remember and something that makes sense will add to the idea and marketing of the project so that will be helpful.
-
I don't think so, what makes crypto successful is not from its name but from the project #DevelopmentTeam in making innovations and services that provide tangible benefits and impacts in everyday life
-
From a media perspective, the name of the project is important, and the token is also important.
Some principles of naming projects & tokens are:
- convey the core values of the project;
- easy to identify and remember to the community;
- avoid confusion with projects that have been in the crypto market or the traditional market;
If not, the project will be considered fraudulent, for example: Ethereun, Bitcion, Riple ...
-
Not necessarily but additional points.
Easy to mention,
Easy to memorize,
Easy to type and search,
Big factor isn't it?
The very essence is the core values of the project.
Uniqueness,
Purpose,
Mission,
Vision, and
Development.
-
µNo idea what you exactly mean by " name " but i'm sure you mean the popularity of X or Y project.
Yes mate it matters a lot indeed. Teke Doge Con for example, it was made as funny crypto & look where it is now, one of the biggest market cap coin with the biggest crypto community.
Popularity of the coin matters a lot in crypto.
-
I don't think so, but some name are really interesting and attractive.
-
No so much, but a good name makes everything better, a catchy name is really good to remember and share it with Everyone and they will easy remember.
-

No its not. Names are just an affiliation to the project, and investors are more interested on what they can offer the community or can give out based on their platform activity. Even the name is not so cool, we cant say it can affect the project performance and its reputation especially thr popularity it gains from the crypto space.
-
I think cryptocurrency has to gain popularity in the community before it can be introduced. However, before getting acquainted with bitcoin crypto currency, there were many problems. Alternative crypto currency shows that there are some cryptos that are popular and took a long time to get acquainted. I don't think you know these things. In order to be any new cryptocurrency, it is important to have Mission, Purpose, Uniqueness, Vision, Development and future development. I don't think there is any other way. But I am much more interested in learning something new. I want to know and understand about everything in the world of cryptocurrency. I think you posted this because I have this kind of desire.
-
I wouldn't subscribe to the saying that name do matter in Cryptocurrency, it boils down to the marketing strategy adopted by a project and dedication from the team to see to its success. Inasmuch as this is said, some projects use names similar to an existing cum successful ones to deliberately woo people, as such due diligence is needed on this crypto space.
-
I don't think it's the name that makes a project successful but it's important to choose a name that is unique and not a copy of another project. The most important factor which makes a project successful are but not limited to;
The usecases, the development and commitment of team members.
You can have a weird name but if the project is solid and adequate development is present then nothing should limit its success
-

Right. This will make the project last long and always favored by investors. Use in real life is the success of a project.
-
Name doesn't have any big impact for success of a project, it's how the development who impact the project. But sometimes name can make people remember the project easily and also representate the vision of project.
-
Well first of all as newbies, they should follow the rule and regulation and about crypto itself. Aboubt the name, I think it isetter. Try to choose the most interesting name that has great idea.
-
I think the name isn't something that has most important role to determine the success in crypto. How the quality of the project, the token function, the team members track records, and exchanges for the tokens, these things to have stronger roles to make a crypto coin to succeed or not.
-
I don't think name a matter of cryptocurrency success but I think project goal and objectives are the main matter regarding success. If before listing any projects in exchange should clear roadmap and application. Whitepaper and team management.
-
It is important to choose a name for the project. But I think it's not just one project that makes it bigger. Makes the project bigger Team members of the project. So a greatness is not just in name. Considering all aspects, the enormity of the project. Whether the project is successful is important. The project may have a nice name, but if the project is not successful then there is no value. So the name of the project does not matter.
-
Yes, it matters up to an extent. Some people, unlike me, are very superstitious and look at names of a project as a sign of good luck or bad luck. To me its all a load of rubbish. I check out what you have to offer, and how you're offering it, before I invest in a project
-
I don't think a new and beautiful name for the project matters. Because there are many projects whose names and websites are very nice to see, but the project was not successful. So the name is not an issue for the project. There are many projects whose names are not good to hear, but the project has been successful. So I think the name doesn't matter.

Be sure that before joining in the cyrpto world, we must be ready of any kinds of the risks and profits that we will experience. in the cyrpto world, it will not al time for us to lose or profits. The market will change easily. We can here decide what we are. Trader, investor, bounty and airdrop hunters or what?
-
Naming or branding at a larger scale is really important, not only in crypto but also in real life. Let's see an example. Bitconnect - the biggest scam in crypto so far once listed as BCC in some exchanges. Meanwhile, Bitcoincash - a decent altcoin is also listed as BCC in some exchange. This could lead to a numerous confusions. After Biconnect scam revealed, all exchanges changed Bitcoincash symbol to BCH, now split into BSV and BCHABC.
-
The name is important but insignificant. For example, I like the abbreviation of a coin with 3 letters and no more. But these are small things I think. You need to take the history of the coin. You need to look at how many coins are already traded on the market. If the coin is old, occupies a consistently high position in the CMC and holds them, has a good trading volume and trades on top exchanges, the better. You also need to follow the road map and how the team implements it
-
Well first of all as newbies, they should follow the rule and regulation and about crypto itself. About the name, I think it is better. Try to choose the most interesting name that has a great idea.
Nope, the name doesn't really matter, but it is significant if you want to create your own utility token in cryptocurrency.
It is not right also to base your investment in a good name, sometimes the scammers choose to use the good name to attract
the community to invest to their utility token.
-
The name may only be the umpteenth time factor, the most important is the development of the project. Large community, strong support will make the Cryptocurrency project a success.
-
Name does not really matter, even projects with the best of names are dead. The most important thing about a project is the use case, whatever name you decide to give does not matter. Please don't look out for name rather look out for use case .
-
yes it matters to newbies and everyone. Also pay attention to the tickers to avoid sending the wrong token to exchanges and a scmmer sents a wrong token to you. it is important to know the name of the crypto you are interested and investing in. bitcoin, ethereum, Ripple are popular. one should familiarize himself with any token he wants to invest in.
-
A good name will attract attention, although this is not the main factor but the name has a luck factor. But when we want to join the Crypto project, the most important thing we pay attention to is their team group, Whitepaper and their support community.
-
I think so, as in other areas.
-
Name is not a compulsory factor for succeeding crypo. All the successful cryptos have not advanced only by the dint of its name. Many cryptos have failed in the market but not for its name. So name is not any matter. But it is better to introduce a short and meaningful name.
-
I don't think so, for me the name is just a tag and part of the project's branding function, the more important is the use case because it was a primary and longterm tool for creating a demand of its token. including its product and services offered. so, In my opinion, the name is also important for branding purposes.
-
Allow me to say this:
The name Jordan is great but not all who has name Jordan's are all great. They possess the same name but not the same confident, skill, influence, salary, and potential.
Name is important but it doesn't affect the success of any project. Transparency is necessary to attract and catch more investors.
Performance matter to gain people's trust and respect the team project who are responsible to deliver transparency. Mere words neither letter wouldn't catch big fish but action and reliable team could get them.
-
I don't think so. It's the work that matters most. If that project doesn't have any real use then it will not be popular among the crypto world. Find any real-world use project or any project that is constantly improving. But if you are talking about to attract investors maybe then sometimes it does. Investors will invest in any project that is backed by any popular brand.
-
I don't think so, the name is just a name to call it. And what makes cryptocurrency successful is not from its name but from the project #DevelopmentTeam in creating innovations and services that bring tangible benefits and impacts in everyday life.
-
Name is not the matter in Crypto space. It's mainly depend on the projects features, assets ,demand. Another important thing is the performance of the project. If the team achieve public trust then the project will gain.
-
I don't think so, what makes crypto successful is not from its name but from the project #DevelopmentTeam in making innovations and services that provide tangible benefits and impacts in everyday life
In my opinion, the name is very important, it is not only a name to call it but also a sign for people to differentiate cryptocurrencies from each other, thereby giving a suitable cryptocurrency.
-
For me, the name does not matter, I only pay attention to the features that the application brings to the user and the benefits that I can get from that application.
-
I think it's very important that's why a lot of businesses see the name as a face of the whole company, so they attach great importance to it. And that is also the point for them to make a name for a cryptocurrency
-
Hmm, dunno. I suppose, that ecosystem of the coin is more important. For example, eurg not so popular, but infrastructure with card, deposits etc makes believe in it
-
Please there's something I really want to understand about this crypto industry because at times as a newbie in this cryptocurrency industry you might get this wrong by making more mistakes in crypto. Does crypto name really matter before it become successful?
The name is important, the name is vital, the name of a token helps it grow and command dominance amongst crypto currency investors, pairs etc. So believe me if you name a project wrongly, it could cause slight delay or impart the development of the said token.
-
The name does not really matter, the important thing is the capital to develop the Crypto project and also a large community of supporters to continue to support the success of the Crypto project.
