Title: Lessons to Learn while Joining bounty Campaigns
Post by: masterrex on August 03, 2020, 12:13:56 PM
Lately, I notice that some Bounty campaigns are popularizing the 12 months payment basis, and honestly, it's not good to me, because as a bounty hunter I already experience this kind of scheme before and after 1 year the project was gone or died, sometimes the token payments have no value at all, or even the worst the project was thriving but the team will refuse to pay us anymore like what happen in DigitalBits Bounty Campaign. So fellow bounty hunters what was your stands about this issue kindly drop your opinion below.

I think an informed decision is important in this kind of campaign. If it's worth your time and the wait, you could rish participating in such bounties but it you think it's not worth it then stay away from such bounty campaigns. Because sometimes even if a project is good they simply refuse to pay.

12-month payment basis is too long for a bounty. It's true that some projects can't even live long enough to 12 months. What's tokens of those projects for after that time? Personally, I don't join those bounties which take such long time to pay. There're still a lot of other bounties out there.

Now which bounty campaign is asking for 12 months wait before distribution? Can you name the project please. I do agree that the rewards should be distributed to hunters in around 1 months time, late or delayed distribution does not makes sense and it is also against the labor laws.

I also see their is some bountys who offer payment after 12 month , or bounty is running very long time .
I always recommend to joined bountys who's ICO is already running on top ranked exchange's .

But I can mention some projects that give a good amount of money though it was a 12-week long campaign. AMZ was 12 weeks long and many hunter get a good amount of money from it. PZM cash was maybe 8 or 12 weeks long it still gave the hunter a good amount of money. So I think its not the duration that matters. A good project can run for several weeks.

Yes I agree with you. 1 year lock up is not a guarantee and it is not good for us. We invested our time and effort to create a marketing for them. In crypto space, 1 year is too long and only few projects will survive for that. 3 month lock up is reasonable to me( monthly unlock).

Yeah i agree with you, to much time used for bounty isn't good enough. Usually i just join bounty that not last over 3 month but sometimes it's worth to work in that kind of bounty.

As far as I am concern the dev and team can decide on whatever they want for their campaign, what is important here is that the bounty hunters should be informed ahead of time, possibly at the beginning of the campaign so that individuals can make their choice. Joining campaign is by choice. If I am ok with the conditions, I will join and if I am not ok with it, I will not join.
Title: Re: Lessons to Learn while Joining bounty Campaigns

It's every hunter decision to accept or reject the condition. One year duration is just too long, there is probability that the project might not even succeed in raising the fund and at the end, you end up not getting paid.

On the other hand, there is this notion that every hunter exhibit by dumping coins on investors which is very bad for new project especially with low trade volume.
Low buy order book and huge sellers can damage project, you shouldn't blame team for such condition as its their sole responsibility to make early investors happy.

That is why when going to join the bounty campaign, we must consider several things. They are likely the period of the campaign, participants, exchange listings, and also the distribution of the coin. I personally always join the campaign that distributes the reward maximally in one month.

I suggest you to not join a campaign managed by unpopular bounty managers. Many of untrusted bounty managers won't pay the rewards after we did all task in bounty campaigns. They just boasted to pay us with high amount but in the end they disappeared. So, it is better to join bounties managed by Bounty Detective or Bubbalex only.

After running Bounty campaign for 12 months, if that campaign is not successful then I know what Bounty Hunters get. Bounty hunters get a lot of work but nothing. As a result, bounty hunters have a bad day. So I don't support this kind of project campaign.

Leave and don't join bounty, 12 months is too long to get prizes that don't necessarily have future value, I think there are still many bounty campaigns that pay 1-2 months after work is finished.

Oh my goodness!
12 months is difficult to know the result either the project succeed or failed. The worst thing if the project turn to scam your 12 months of work and efforts just vanished without good return. It seems a nightmare experience that will remain in mind for so long. Much better join a campaign that runs for a short period of time and yet will definitely pay at the end.

When I go to take part in a bounty campaign. If I see that any long time bounty. But I don’t participate in that bounty. Because long time projects are very less successful. Like cinemadrom bounty campaign. This forum was supposed to run. But after running for two years in another forum, there was no improvement. The scam was a project. In this way, I have seen many bounty that did not succeed even after running round after round. Joining such bounty is just a waste of time. So I do not join them.

a better solution looking for a campaign bounty that is really going to be a big project and capable listing on the exchange renowned and see also the duration of the bounty active if too long is better to avoid to follow the campaign view history bounty manager if the bad reputation is better not to follow the campaign manager because usually a project will scam or die.

A year, i think is too much oo, because the only thing that is constant is change, so the manager or the team can change things which not be favourable for hunters, even though it worth staying the fund must have been escrow before one can stay.

To avoid bad bounty managers who don't want to pay use, it is better to join a trusted bounty managed by top bounty managers. Unfortunately, in altcoinstaks we have no many top bounty managers. Only bounty detective and bubbalex that we can trust on them to pay us. So, it is better to join their bounties, guys.

Try to check the bounty thread for bounties related info  and go through some them properly for adequate bounty rules of engagement. There are several bounty that has taken up to 13 months before distribution, unfortunately some of them does specify these info on the thread because they knew that hunters won't join such campaigns. I have participated on few bounties that pay after 12months and even a bounty campaign that lasted for 42weeks. If you are new as a hunter, do your research

I think it's better to stay away from bounties which pay after 12 months. It's too long to wait. Also, avoid joining bounties that last for too long. Unlike real life, the longer in crypto, the riskier it is. In my opinion, a perfect bounty should be held in 8-10 weeks and payment should be made a couple of weeks after that.

My mind will not affect the work of 12 months. Because when a bounty campaign lasts for 12 months, those who work in that campaign are forced to work. Because 12 months is one year time. If participating in a long time campaign is not a success, then there is no value. Not wanting to bounty. So I will not tell everyone to participate in the long time project. However, those who rely only on bounty work on all projects. Because they know that a project is a success.

I can join bounty of some certain managers even if it worth 2 years. I was going through bounty thread some time ago, I observed some managers that has never lost their reputation of payment for once even when they held bounty for longer period. Its something of choice especially in this hard economy

Payment for bounty hunters who have to wait for 12 months will only eliminate the opportunity for bounty hunters to make a profit, where we know that the price of tokens the longer the more the smaller the price.  But what can we do, if it's their decision.  can just give up following the rules or just quit this job.

On average, signature campaigns in the ICO bounty last 2-3 months. Participating in such a campaign for a year is too long. During this time we could participate in 4-6 such campaigns. I usually try not to participate in very long such ICO bounty campaigns.
It is very important for bounty hunters that we are immediately informed about the duration of the bounty campaigns in time, so that we have a choice.

Well, we have seen this happen again and again without any solution or anything to do about it. The worst part is, some of these projects tend to introduce these rules only after a campaign has ended meaning a bounty Hunter can't do anything about it. The only way this can become a thing of the past is to have regulations guiding the operations of all crypto activities ranging from marketing, development, token sales down to bounty hunting. This is the only way some greedy and fraudulent project developers can be made to play by the book and fulfil their requirements to all parties involved with their projects.

You can decide early whether join the campaign or not.
In case the campaign extended, I think your case is considerable if you wish to leave, of course you must communicate to bounty manager in order to receive the reward at the end.
Look for much better and shorter campaign if there is.

I believe there is more to what smart contracts has to offer. If bounty payment duration is a problem to hunters, the manager and the team can come to agreement to send out tokens to hunters while been locked for that period. This will be a great approach for insecurity.

I think thats too much. Ive saw one on other forum with payment on their campaign after 1 year and date of listing. Im not sure if this woulf be appealing to some hunters cause the duration of the project is too long. I dont know but some could be persuasive with this if the project has potential. I can accept if the payment will be made and divided monthly but for 1 year waiting time I think thats too much.

My stand is that bounty hunters should stick together and decide on what to promote and what to work on. bounty managers are also responsible of bounty payments. it is with great concern that some bounty managers do agree not to pay hunters on time until they fill the bags and wait for the price to drop and they fill more bags.

A 12-month campaign for a project is not successful. There are many campaigns run for 2 weeks but they are successful. So I do not join any campaign for a long time. Because the project is not successful even after they run ICO and IEO for a long time. So before joining the project, you should think and join. Many projects are being promoted in the cryptocurrency market. But not all projects are successful. So good advisor should be appointed in the project.

It is true 1 year is a long time in Crypto and learning from the past experience some of the projects failed to pay or the project itself failed. What I do tell people before carrying a bounty is that can you invest your money into the project if the answer is no, then don't bother promote the project if the project succeed it is a win for you but if it fails you bear the bunden

Indeed one year is a long time to wait to be rewarded for tasks you've spent time in promoting and anything can happen within this timeframe. Project may still be thriving or might even fail. That is the risk about crypto, make sure it's worth your time when participating regardless of the time you need to wait to be rewarded

When bounties were started, then the bounty reward ratio was almost 95%, and some projects were paid before launched in exchanges. Still, the situation is against, and most of the project are scammed and not paying to bounty hunters, and who paid they agree to pay in instalments like 3,6 or 12 months, so we should be joined good bounties and not waste your time in died projects.

The lesson I learned from crypto strategies is that you need to find someone who is trustworthy and has experience in the cryptocurrency industry to help and guide you if you are just starting out. This will be of great benefit to you
