Everyone including myself is waiting for ethereum 2.0 to be released, hoping it's release will solve some issues that's been troubling ethereum for some time now which one of the common issues is that of the high transaction fee.
But then, am not trying to Bring negativity here but this thought just came in mind.
What if the release of ETH 2.0 doesn't solve the high transaction fee issue, will this mean the death of ethereum???

Do not worry it will definitely resolve the current scalability issues atleast for next few years because sharding and resolution of the scalability issues is one of the main point of Eth 2.0.

However, today's condition may be different. So, we do not need exactly high expect to get a very high price and get more profits. Just earn what we cane earn and also follow the market flows better.

Buterin said that already at the first stage of Ethereum 2.0 implementation, ethereum's scalability will reach one thousands of transactions per second. In the next few years, the scalability in the ethereum network will reach one hundred thousand transactions per second. I think Ethereum 2.0 will not solve the latest problems that engulfing the Ethereum Network recently, we must admit that Eth 2.0 was designed to address the scalability issues and the migration from PoW to PoS so the monstrous transaction fees are not in the agenda thats why I'm not excited about it thats what I see the problem of High Transaction fees will remain.

I hope that with the emergence of ethereum 2.0, it can be a solution to the high gas fees in ethereum 1.0, because so far many have complained about the high transfer costs. Not even worth the value of the coins to be sent.

With the ETH 2.0 release price even can go down, but the real value will rise for sure. Currently ETH mining is very profitable due high gas fee, when it changes it may affect the price go down since all these miners can start to sell their earnings before dump and create this dump itself. There may be huge bugs as well, the main point of crypto is security, YAM token dumped to 0 after such a bug was found, of course ETH is much more trustworthy company, but they have some issues in their history too.

Obviously Ethereum transaction fees hit the investors and traders because some investors and traders changing Ethereum trading platforms due to the Ethereum transaction high gas fees.

We can wait for ethereum 2.0. This is because the value of eth will increase after the release of ethereum 2.0. I think it will cost more later. +1 for your very interesting question, while most of the community is very optimistic about the future of ETH 2.0 despite some problems happened in the Testnet.
As you can see, transaction fees are pushed up by the limitation of the network's scalability compared to the huge demand of the community, thanks to DeFi :), so to reduce transaction costs then we need to calm investors down and increase the service speed of the Ethereum network, from 15tps to 15000 tps, or at least 150 tps :)
In addition to solutions developed by a number of supporting projects, one of the solutions is expected to have a positive impact on the scaling problem - Shardings. I hope Shardings will bring a good result for the entire Ethereum community, 1000-3000 tps is more than enough for us to be satisfied!
If the speed of the network does not increase, or the increase is not dramatic enough while the demand for transactions continues to soar, if transaction costs are still too expensive as they are, Ethereum will not die, at least according to my judgment. ETH 2.0 using POS will solve the security + mining problem, transaction speed can be the object of the update to ETH 3.0 :)

If the problem with transaction continues to be even after the release of ETH 2.0 , then will mean that eth is dead cus i personally will stop using it or its chain, and i believe that many will migrate to other chains too.

We must be patient, Ethereum 2.0 will be released soon. I think the team is preparing anything, we may get the information of the progress of Ethereum 2.0 soon. I am sure that all of us can be disappointed in case nothing major will happen with the ridiculously high transaction fees in the Ethereum network. However, we should be at least 60% confident that Ethereum 2.0 can solve this problem that may last for some years to come. I am also hoping that Eth 2.0 is well-thought of and developers are really taking a good close on the many challenges posed by the current situations. it doesn't change the fact that it will have little or no impact on ethereum high gas fees. No matter the expansion on the ethereum blockchain. as long as trades volumes keeps raising on Dex platforms like Uniswap, gas fees will be on the raise. miners will be millionaires.

Phase 0 of Ethereum 2.0 will bring only PoS (staking), there will be no smart contracts. Smart contracts will be still on the present PoW Ethereum. These two will run simlutaneously.

I think those of us dealing with cryptocurrency are all waiting for the rise of Etherium 2.0. We hope Etherium 2.0 will solve the latest problems, especially Ethereum's high transaction fees. And if it doesn't or fails to do so, crypto users will be forced to think of alternatives; This is likely to cause more damage to the etherium.

I still hope that Ethereum 2.0 will be able to solve the emerging and sharply exacerbated problem with ethereum scalability this year. The ethereum network has already begun to lose users of its platform because of this. Many projects, including DeFi projects, are now forced to choose other platforms such as Tron, NEO, EOS, as transaction fees on the ethereum network have become too high. I hope the Ethereum team and Buterin understand this.

I also assume their is higher transcation fees in these days ( in Case of Etherium or erc-20 coins ) . I see that Etherium fee's even touch 500 gewai in these some days .
Hopefully this will be fully solved soon as possible.

Ethereum 2.0 has been around for almost a year now and this update is already having some success. But so far, they mostly do not relate to gas payments in the ethereum network. Ethereum 2.0 has launched , although didn't completely.
I think It hasn't good effect for gas fee problem, because We all know, Ethereum gas fee is still high.
Hopefully after complete, Ethereum 2.0 will solve this problem.

I think it will work and at the moment the ethereum team is continuing to develop it, for me, ethereum is a great platform with great ideas and good projects in it, we need to be a little patient and see some other altcoins for the new portfolio, this is an option and I will keep waiting and buy more Ethereum before ethe 2.0 is fully usable

Ethereum 2.0 has launched , although didn't completely.

I hope it really does resolve the issue with the Eth transaction fees because if after the release of ETH 2.0 we still have all these high transaction fees as we have now, then that means ETH network has finally been confirmed as the Network for only the Rich ;D because I don't see many people especially small to medium traders using the network anymore and I believe this is why Polygon will be even more popular

This decision has been brewing for a long time, but why are they delaying its implementation? I think that not everything is so simple: take and implement it. As my previous statement and observation about Eth 2.0 upgrade, I guess there's no progress at all, the transaction fees are still expensive the Network speed still slow, besides they are already implementing a new chain, but it seems that the network is not improving, because the problem still persists and that's my personal observation.

I think slowly but surely, ethereum 2.0 is still running and it's already starting to be seen from the cost of ethereum gas which in my opinion has started to improve and provides a fairly low cost, but when the price of ethereum goes up, hopefully gas costs won't go up too.
I would not say that the cost of gas on the Ethereum network is falling. And if it falls, it is still very far from the optimal one. We see more and more migration to the networks of competitors. I am more interested in when everything will work out with the commissions, will there be a migration back?

The classic problem of Ethereum is the high cost of ETH Gas. If Ethereum 2.0 is present and does not provide a solution to the high cost of ETH Gas then I think the long wait for Ethereum 2.0 will be in vain. I hope this ETH Gas Fee goes down as soon as Ethereum 2.0 is fully released.

By the way, I also have a few tokens, the price of which is comparable to the current fees on the network. Therefore, I, too, like you, are waiting for it to decrease in order to get rid of these tokens, which are unlikely to already grow in price. The question is, how soon will Buterin and the team implement this?

I definitely think it will further downsides to the Ethereum Network. A lot of people just like you have been anticipating what the ETH 2.0 will bring and most importantly is the High transaction fees resolution and if this doesn't come through ETH 2.0, then there is going to be a major problem with the network but I believe this will be their core worries to resolve too.

There will be fundamental economic changes too, Ethereum 2.0 will allow supports to staking nodes and earn Ethereum as passive income. It's not one of the most awaited things. In back 2020 there was quite a hype about it and people were crazy about the speculation of ethereum price. But now there are other blockchains that has more hype in the market. Like Solana, avax, Matic etc is doing very good and its not impossible for one of them to compete eth.

Yes, a lot of users are switching to Polygon, BSC, etc. So Ethereum 2.0 is no longer an expected event. I am more interested in when EOS will become more widespread and more popular than ETH.

I don't have to worry anyway, Bitay academy always keep me updated and educated. I believe every other exchange and crypto platform can emulate Bitay exchange in providing resources for easy trading and learning for it's users. every time I see tweets from Vitalik and some of the other teams, but we need to be patient because merging the two blockchains and enabling the Beachon chain is not as easy as we thought, there are some things that need to be done and I'm sure by 2022 they will all be done.
