Post by: BradSow on October 09, 2020, 09:54:28 AM
We have witnessed a massive popularity regarding DeFi projects, but it's seems that DeFi hype is over. For the past week DeFi tokens plunged massively.

Loses over the last week:
Chainlink: 12%
Aave: 19.5%
Uniswap: 32%
Yearn.Finance: 44%

Uma:33%

I think its YES! it was already Burst, as we notice the price of the major Defi tokens is continued to dump, Yearn Finance or YFI token is the most expensive Defi base token to date is also experiencing dumping in the recent days, But the price was still high currently traded at $17K+ although it was up by 33% today it doesn't mean it will be continued just imagine from $44K+ at peak and now traded at $17K I feel sorry for those people that were stuck on $44K price level. I hope you are okey.

DeFi is a decentralized finance which generally combine cryptos and finance within a chain 🔗. But a few weeks till DeFi projects are dumping significantly more than blockchain projects.

Chainlink
YFI
MakerDao
Aave
Already dumped hugely.

It's possible that we will saw 2nd phrase of the wave. The hype is gone for now but in the correction, we could face another wave of defi hype. But we should be careful about whatever happens. Some defi projects gone 90% down from its starting price which is massive. This hype will be gone but DeFi will remain as a technology.

The prices will stabilized at a certain point.

I know it would burst sooner than later, because of the worsening scams it is attracting and the laws of diminishing returns. But it would eventually bounce back

Unfortunately these guys that introduced new presale projects are all scams pulling the fame of defi projects. Actually if only those projects can be stopped this could be improve the defi hypes. I dont know people still fall on fake defi they should at least check the authencity of these projects.

I think only if a token has decreased. In fact, this is a good opportunity for those of us who want to invest in these tokens. So from that we just wait, DeFi is good, the price will definitely increase again.

Indeed, the hype around DeFi projects will soon disappear, but the technology will remain. Now investors and traders are skimming the cream, but they will leave, the prices of DeFi tokens will go down from space to workers and projects will start working as usual.
DeFi projects have opened a new direction in cryptocurrency, and this is their undoubted merit. I think that it will develop further.

The high volatility levels and the huge sell-offs experienced by the DeFi industry has got many investors wondering whether the decentralized finance craze is approaching an end, after an incredible run. Investors are hopeful for a recovery, despite price slumps.

Well expect the massive dumps after the pump of a coin, this is normal in crypto market. I'm surprised yearn.finance token even it was dumped so much the volume of this token reached 2 billion dollar, seems the DeFi still popular.

Here are some of the ones you mentioned. Those coins are already being lost in the market. Coins have fallen sharply in value. But I think if the market wants to recapture these coins, it needs a lot of investors. Because investors can take these coins to a higher level in the market. So the daily trading volume will take much longer. These coins need a lot of time to rise in price. Such as YFI, Link.

Even Bitcoin fallen sharply from 20K to 9K as well altcoins. DeFi momentum slowly decline maybe the reason is people are already aware that it is a hype. Because of that they are hesitant to put huge investment in DeFi tokens where some fallen sharply like YFI from 30K to 19K. Market doesn't have exemptions to any tokens. Once it is crypto, it is possible to fall drastically or to increase rapidly in unknown time.

at least we can take advantage of moments like this to get a lot of profit from DeFi because when it doesn't develop it will be very difficult to get a profit.
