Cambodia the one of the poorest countries in Asia officially launched a blockchain-based platform for digital money transactions called Bakong. It is with the initiative of the national bank of Cambodia.
Bakong is a new modern way of payment in Cambodia allowing costumers to make interbank transactions and bill payments securely and fast yet free of charge. Do you think the adoption of blockchain technology is the biggest step to set cambodians free from their poor situation. Wow! Congratulations to Cambodia for really beating other countries in the race to introduce their own digital money or CBDCs. Right now, many countries are already convinced that they must step-up and participate in the digital revolution by coming up with their own version of cryptocurrency. With the lead of China, and I am sure also of the USA, we are going to be replacing the fiat or paper money on the global basis. Will this be helping Bitcoin and the rest of the crypto gang? Maybe yes maybe no. Let's see how things can be developing on this arena in the coming months and years.

wow this is an awesome news! I will need to do more findings on that first, but the idea of a national blockchain integration of monetarily value is a very welcome development in a right direction. This will definitely do well in supporting the people in battling with the fiat currency economy.

That sounds like a very bold move by Cambodia, I think it will take some time for it to be fully accepted by their citizens. This is a step towards mass adoption of cryptocurrency.

That's what l have in my mind as I know Cambodia is left behind far from the modern and advance way of living and their education is a little bit low compare to the other countries.

This will give Cambodia's economy more motivation to develop. Certainly, Vietnam will also learn a lot from this event, hoping that the Vietnamese crypto community will soon have good news about CBDC and crypto.
