Anything is possible and since we are in an open and traded market we don't know if in the future there will be another cryptocurrency that can be catching more adoption rate than Bitcoin. The way I am seeing is that for now Bitcoin is holding on to its rule as the king but as what I am saying the future can be so different. I am talking about 20 or 50 years from now. We know that Bitcoin has many problems in terms of scalability and if there will be a good technology (example is quantum) that can crushed Bitcoin then of course there can be its end.
