The most important thing is if you create an activity, make it quality activity/post or don't use short sentences so that it doesn't have quality. If this is done it will prevent you from increasing your rank and you will even get negative karma.

This is generally true. Member rank only occurs at 90 posts.
It's pretty loyal. On bitcoinstalks, in fact, the transition from rank to another rank is suspended due to the exorbitant requirements for obtaining merit.
