As the poll question asks; What percentage of your crypto portfolio is in altcoins and why?
Personally I'm only 21% in Altcoins at the moment, with a 11% holding in Ethereum. Quite low risk generally, but planning to increase this to 60-70% if Bitcoin dominance continues to fall. In summer I was nearer 70%, but took profits back into Bitcoin anticipating a correction.
Do you plan on increasing or decreasing your altcoin exposure in the near future or next year?

I hold a lot of altcoin. However, the coins I have hold, have benefited me a lot. About 50% I sold. Currently the remaining 50% is expected to increase further. I bought the origin protocol. I can see a lot of profit at present. However, I have not sold yet. But there are plans to sell 40%. It is possible to make the most of this year's investment.

Although i like to hold as much bitcoin as i can but at the moment majority of my holdings are in Eth and i am expecting a big peak price for eth in next wave so i would stay in eth because i expect potentially much bigger profit than btc from eth.

I don't know why but this is exactly in my portfolio/. It is too many altcoins, right?
Well, I only have ew Bitcoin and have many altcoins mostly coming from bounty rewards. Only a few that come from original trading. But well, I am sure that from that altcoins portfolio, at least, more than a half is worthy altcoins

I feel minus 30% trading with Matic and Vet coins on Binance with the Margin type.
But before that I managed to get 225% profit from trading.
The minus 30% is that the decline in the two altcoisn is difficult to contain when Bitcoin breaks the price of 15,000 USD from the price of 12,000 USD.

The specific reason that I was holding more Altcoins compare to Bitcoin because BTC is already expensive, and the Top ranking altcoins are not that expensive yet thats, why it's more realistic to Buy and Hold altcoins Like Ethereum, Tezoz, and some others, some people say that Defi is a good candidate to hold but in my opinion, it's not because Defi is just driven by hype and have no solid foundation to support it.

BTC was the first crypto I bought, in late 2017. Since then, I have never bought more.
Currently I have around $300 in BTC and about $3K in Altcoins. The majority of Altcoins come from bounty campaigns :)

I can't say for sure, but about 60-70% of my investments are currently made in altcoins such as ethereum, binance coin, link and other top altcoins, in general, my list is very big and it will be difficult to announce them all, and so I chose these altcoins because of their popularity, because of their technologies and achievements that are constantly being updated and improved, and of course, each altcoin was studied carefully before investing, well, about 30% of my investments was made in bitcoin because I saw at the beginning of 2020 growth of bitcoin and immediately invested in bitcoin and I wait when bitcoin price will rise till 20k$ at least to fix the profit.

What I learned from AstroTrading.co regarding what is a good crypto portfolio is that having a portflio of 3-- 9 cryptocurrencies will certainly enhance your risk-adjusted return. Expanding wagers will certainly decrease your risk. You'll obtain to have some of the coins that have not yet had rather the run that bitcoin and also ether have.

I only have Altcoins, 100% altcoins because buying BTC was so difficult for me, with all of my assets I can not buy 0.5 BTC. I think Altcoins is more flexible than BTC, so I never intended to sell Altcoins to buy BTC.

To tell the truth, it is about 80% ;D ;D
I only have very small amount of BTC. But i have so many altcoins, from worthy altcoins to the shitcoins that I got from bounty or airdrops. Sometimes, I feel so guilty seeing them but well that's it.
Only focus on the worthy altcoins right now and let the shitcoins aside away

I voted 31-40%.
Commonly, I am also the same with you, most of my crypto asset is in Bitcoin as it is the safest coin to choose. My Bitcoin is around 60% of all my total assets in crypto. The rest is top altcoins like Ethereum, BNB coin, and XRP. I also want to add other altcoins that I think very possible to soar in this year or next year.

So people have very different portfolio's when it comes to their altcoins % it seems, interesting to note. 11/20 votes so far have more than 50% in altcoins even which I wasn't expecting, was still expecting most to have BTC or 50-50. If this poll was on a Bitcoin maximalist forum, you'd be sure to see most users voting for 80-90% in Bitcoin.

Now i have more than 50% altcoins, 30% Ethereum and Bitcoin in portfolio. I always hold some amount of Bitcoin and Ethereum but for trade, i invest or hold in altcoins.

Looking at your diversification makes me think I need more altcoins! Especially now Bitcoin's discount is only 5%, everything else looks a lot cheaper right at the moment. Need to start buying more "blue-chip" altcoins in the Top 20, get my Ethereum stash upto 20-25% already.

It's Nice collection and nice holdings in your portfolio. I have no idea only CEL but BTC, ETH, ADA, XLM and BNB are all top coins which i think the future of cryptocurrency. I have BTC, ETH, ADA, XLM and BNB also but small amounts. I will try to increase portfolio.

I was writing here on the forum about buying CEL on 5th May, when its price was $0.11.
DCA is my strategy. So I am buying every week some altcoins. Big altcoins: ADA, XLM, ETH - small altcoins: CEL, PRE, KRI/GIG
Of course BTC is also in my portfolio. And I am not selling it.
Today the price of CEL is $2.31.

Right, i have checked now but then i missed it otherwise i would collect some for hold like other holdings till now. I will observe on CEL if i get a cheaper rate forgetting purchase chance. :)

I have almost 70% in altcoins:
30% in Neblio - A project that I follow from the first day.
20% in XRP - One of my first purchases, I was impressed by the team behind it.
10% in ChainLink - With this I was lucky, I bought few but they worked well.
5% in Sirin Labs Token - I like the idea of the smartphone and the desktop computer (the computer has never been seen publicly), but economically speaking it has been a failure, I am not sure if the project is abandoned.
5% in Ethereum
The rest in BTC, for what may happen.
