Japan’s megabanks to lead experiment with digital yen

Could a new, coordinated effort to digitalize the Japanese economy be strong enough to compete with residents’ persistent use of cash?

I support private banks to jointly issue and manage CBDCs, which will help decentralize power in the CBDC economy. The CBDC government monopoly only makes the situation worse when the fundamentals of blockchain are seriously violated.

No one wants to stay behind and certainly Banks can see advantages of an immutable ledger that can be put to use in their field of work that is filing critically important ledgers. Now since the idea appeals and have proven benefits it is going to be tested out. After a while will undergo mass implementation through Japanese bank network.
