Ethereum has seen a considerable spike in ETH deposits for 2.0 in the past two days with 88K yesterday and 41K the day before. Ethereum 2.0 has now over 50% of validators needed before launching, which is currently estimated to be early next month (as opposed to January 2021 as previouslt estimated).

Will the deposits continue and Ethereum staking will go live in 2020, or will it launch in 2021?

If we consider how fast the deposit progress is, it is not impossible that ETH 2.0 to launch this year. Look! The current deposit progress was already 52%, you should realize that it is running quite fast. Looks like I may have to close this poll sooner than expected, now that 2.0 contract has enough ETH. Will leave it open a bit longer though, as you still never know what might happen in the meantime. I'm very much hoping the PoS launch is successful, but also always a pessimist at heart...

The news is always good. It is not unknown if Ethereum will improve if it is launched. Current but eth 2.0 has not been launched, but prices are still rising. Because investors think that the price will increase a lot after the launch of 2.0. So they are waiting for better results by investing. I support them so they can benefit.

Yeah, we will see ETH2.0 appear in a few days. Hopefully everything is stable, maybe the speed is not really impressive, but the problems that appeared in Testnet have been fixed.
For me, the launch of ETH2.0 is more desirable than BTC Halving :)

I think i saw a publication that affirmed the launch to happen this year by the first of December; and i still believe that the launch of eth 2.0 will happen by then. Investors and traders should focus on the market emotions; so that profits can be embraced without any panics.

We really cannot be 100% sure, but nevertheless, we must trust the team that constantly postponed the update, since they not only cleaned the errors, but also monitored so as not to fix these errors after the update was launched. Based on this, I am inclined to believe that the update and its further work will be successful.
