Title: Bitcoin and Illegal Activities
Post by: emmybd on December 06, 2020, 09:56:34 AM
Bitcoin, the most popular cryptocurrency, is often considered to be a potential barrier breaker of the world's traditional finance. Comprising the largest cryptocurrency market share, Bitcoin nowadays is also facing the challenges of proper rules and regulations. As a result, criminals are using Bitcoin in their illegal activities, and it is being used as a source of funding in various dangerous criminal activities.

According to a review of financial studies that was published in 2018, among the total transactions of Bitcoin, 46 per cent are used for illegal activities every year, and the estimated cost is $76 billion. This amount is the same as the scale of the illegal drugs in the European and US markets. This study also suggests that Bitcoin conducts transformations of black markets as it is helping the black market to enable "black e-commerce".

In conclusion, it can be said that criminals will use Bitcoin continuously for their various illicit purposes. It is because this thing happens with all the assets. But it can be controlled by strong tracking and ensuring strict rules and regulations.

The issue of the legality of using digital currencies is important for several reasons. Illegal activities alienate potential legitimate investors from investing in this marke, also, the suspicion of illegal activity has led some governments to prohibit or limit the use of these currencies, which prevents market growth and  that the lack of regulation in this market may by itself support the growth of illegal activities such as “black e-commerce” and financing of terrorist organizations.

That figure can be based in 2018 but right now -- according to what I heard in a discussion video -- the rate of illegal activities using Bitcoin is now down to miniscule 1% of the total transactions. And this can be because many of those in illegal trades are realizing that there is actually transparency in the whole Bitcoin network as all transactions are recorded for posterity -- meaning it is there forever protected by the blockchain technology. And there is actually no such thing as 100% anonymity here.

There is nothing to be done, unfortunately in the cryptocurrency sphere a lot of scammers launder their money and especially very often money are laundered through bitcoin, of course there are organizations that are trying to catch scammers who do this, but it is impossible to catch everyone, but I think in the future there will be even more different organizations that will catch scammers in the cryptocurrency field.

Undoubtedly Bitcoin is a popular platform but there are some exceptional aspects of this popular platform that people are using for bad.  The most forbidden function of Bitcoin is that it is used for criminal purposes.  The payments that are made for the success of various killing missions are mainly traded through Bitcoin.

This suspicious activity must always be in the digital or real world, so it's not just Bitcoin that is suspicious.
I see there are also many other than Bitcoin that have a very large value for money laundering, for example, coins from Monero.

But I see for now Bitcoin is indeed safe by me and Bitcoin in my opinion and my surroundings are still in the assessment stage of each individual.

Many illegal activities take place through this bitcoin.  Because these gift coins can be exchanged completely privately.  This means there are no documents to exchange.  Which allows thousands of dollars to be easily transferred from one place to another.

Not only in the case of bitcoin but also in other currencies its illegal activity is much less because it is not supported by the government if bitcoin becomes a digital asset all over the world its illicit activity will increase. Criminals will choose bitcoin to commit crimes in the case of crypto it will be a little less many people do not have enough knowledge about crypto.

You are right, I agree with you.  Currently, many corrupt and immoral acts are done through Bitcoin.  If you do corrupt things through bitcoin, no one will understand who did the work and how.  The main reason why many countries have already outlawed Bitcoin is because they think that if Bitcoin is legalized, it will be the most immoral and abusive act.

Bitcoin has been legalized in many countries around the world.  Countries that have legalized bitcoin are leaning towards development.  More than 40,000 stores in Australia already support cryptocurrency.  Transactions are done through cryptocurrencies. I think in the next few years, cryptocurrencies will change the world. And transactions will be done through cryptocurrencies all over the world.

The legality of using digital currencies is important for a number of reasons. Illegal activities deter potential legitimate investors from investing in this mark, suspicions of illegal activity have forced some governments to ban or restrict the use of these currencies.

US intelligence find that approximately one-quarter of bitcoin users are involved in illegal activity. We estimate that around $76 billion of illegal activity per year involve bitcoin (46% of bitcoin transactions), which is close to the scale of the U.S. and European markets for illegal drugs. So if in cryptocurrency maintain or follow some rules that would be better for blockchain and cryptocurrency as well .

So, this includes the rules that have been applied in the country I live in.
I also can't give access rights to everything in cryptocurrency because of these rules.
Maybe in my country too cryptocurrency trading feels limited and this is really sad and I am waiting for the latest regulations from the government for cryptocurrency trading.

Bitcoin is currently illegal in many countries.  Again legal in many countries.  Countries that have declared bitcoin legal tender have already made great strides.  If it is declared legal by the governments of the countries that have declared it illegal, it will be used for the most immoral and misdemeanor purposes.

This does not surprise me at all, and I do not understand that it surprises American intelligence. Bitcoin is suitable for such calculations and criminal structures are the first to appreciate it, while governments are trying to ban BTC.

So far, apart from the many positive sides of Bitcoin. there are also many negative sides of Bitcoin. One of them is the existence of illegal transactions that are used as payments for things that are not good. For example, terrorist cases, murder, or buying and selling drugs. This is why Bitcoin is still difficult to accept by some countries.

We cannot separate Bitcoin from illegal activities like we cannot separate money from illegal activities or crimes. What does it mean? this is about the world, people n the world and we can't obligate them all 24 jam hours. And that is why maybe there are many illegal activities still happen. Scammers, money laundering, hackers, and others. But in fact, this doesn't influence the use of BTC ad its value.

You only view Bitcoin from a negative perspective and don't state the positive one at all. First of all, where you get the data to explain this bad side of Bitcoin? You don't enclose it here? Please show me where you get this news or data related to the illegal activities of Bitcoin.

Anyway, do you think only Bitcoin to use for criminal or illegal activities? NO, mate. Even fiats or traditional currencies are more than Bitcoin to use because they can be easier to use for many purposes. So, if you want to blame Bitcoin, you must compare it first to another one. Then, it can be fair enough!!

Illegal activities using Bitcoin is not surprising in this kind of decentralized anonymous place. We are dealing here in untouchable asset and property that even the government have difficulties to track down the whole system. Good news because some countries are now in adoption stage if bitcoin is good investment in general aspect.

If this is done through Bitcoin then it is a very sad thing. In fact, if you transact through it, the government will not be able to find any source. Which is why they deal specifically through it. I have noticed a lot of things that have a positive side, there must be some negative side. Maybe this is the negative site of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is at the highest level in the cryptocurrency world because the price of Bitcoin has never been higher than any other coin.  So Bitcoin is considered the king of all coins.  Bitcoin Original is a cryptocurrency virtual currency.  This currency is known in all the countries of the world and due to various investments, the price of Bitcoin is going to increase more overnight. It is expected that the price of Bitcoin will increase further in the future.

In fact, Bitcoin is a popular currency.  Many people use this currency in many ways.  Bitcoin is used in gambling casinos and money laundering.  Many scandals are being created today in the name of Bitcoin for all these activities.  Let's all stop doing this and take advantage of it. This will further increase the value of Bitcoin and increase its price at a massive rate.

Bitcoin is used all over the world. Some unscrupulous people are using bitcoin for all kinds of bad things. Because there is no evidence of a transaction. The level of bitcoin use in the crime cycle is increasing. If we don't take action soon, it will have a big impact on the world. Criminals in different countries use bitcoin.

Bitcoin is used in all developed countries of the world. However, mafia groups around the world use bitcoin. I think it is important for the government to take action in this regard. But in the end Bitcoin is the best.

Bitcoin may be used for illegal activities like money and others. And here is no worry about it because we can separate between an asset to the crimes. As long as we use it for something good, I don't think they will stop Bitcoin because of this old issue.
