We are now in the era where the same technologies we are using to gain more freedom and leeway are also utilized and improved upon for many governmental and non-governmental to do some spying and surveillance on people and yes those who are perceived to be enemies of the state. This can be true with countries whose leaders have authoritarian inclinations. I am predicting that this will be a big source of conflicts and heated discussions for years to come. Curtailing freedom in the name of the greater good can be a good theme many governments will be using, especially in light with what we experienced with Covid-19.
