Title: Cryptocurrency Wallets
Post by: zilzylian on December 17, 2020, 02:00:02 PM
I have seen several new projects such as crypto wallets which can store all crypto assets with their multi blockchain wallets, iMtoken, Trustwallet, Exodus wallet and Atomic wallet having instant exchanges to make it easier for us to make quick exchanges.
Do we need multiple crypto wallets in the future, and how many multi blockchain crypto wallets do you use today?

the main point is clear, all of us are based because of everything we get from the bounty, we are advised to direct it to the intended place, so that sometimes we cannot determine this separately which results in difficulty being put together. because each wallet will have advantages and disadvantages that occur so people will look for the best alternative but not necessarily good for others. all in the end because of the habit of using it not because it is good or not.

Actually, I was very upset with the Imtoken wallet, since I had to use it for the bounty company to create the eos wallet. The fact is that the activation of the EOS wallet turned out to be paid and I spent too much ETH in empty and did not achieve the desired result.

answer first, is it possible that in the future there should be only one wallet? obviously not possible because logically there are more tokens then it takes a lot of wallets to be able to accommodate all of them because if one is sure it will be full and it will be difficult to sort out which tokens are still functioning and no longer.

not to mention that people want to take advantage of their work to create a wallet which they think will be better than the existing one, we can't avoid that because everyone also wants to be able to appreciate their contribution. the most important thing is that naturally there will be a natural elimination where the good will continue to be used and the bad will be abandoned.

Im using MEW wallet since 2017, but now im using trustwallet and it is really convinient to use because i don't need to open a web browser and enter my private key again and again to send my token. And also im using Freewallet on storing my EOS.

I think yes. We are in the world where competition is active and where the competitors hold. That is why in the future we will have them and though we don't need them all still others surely need them.

Due to the fact that various cryptocurrencies have their own blockchains, we have to store a lot of data because of this, and of course I would like to see such cryptocurrency wallet in which it would be possible to store completely all cryptocurrencies from various blockchains and I hope in the future such cryptocurrency wallet will appear.

I have only used one for now, which is trust wallet. The reason behind to use trust wallet because it is linked with binance and binance is the best cryptocurrency exchange as of now.

Either custodian or non-custodian, it all depends individual.
Personally, my holdings are most of the time in ERC-20 tokens which are always in my portfolio ( own wallet).
Since I have my private key written down on paper, all I used to do is to enter them into any software whenever I want to access them or move them to an exchange.
If you are into ERC-20, please be careful of fake wallet that ask for private keys, you may end up losing it all to a hacker.

PS: I used Trust Wallet must of the time since they are created by Binance Lab.

do not need to have many wallets, the most important thing is the contents of the wallet. just one wallet that you trust, for example I use Trust Wallet because it has a comfortable interface, easy to backup keys, and does several things with the browser feature in it. that's enough .

The more Crypto wallets there are in the future is good, because it shows the progress of the Crypto project. And of course, from the number of wallets, people will only choose one or two to store their assets. And for now I use trust and Im-token wallets to store my Crypto assets, I feel these two wallets are very safe and comfortable.

For multiple wallets, I only use Trustwallet and also Imtoken. I think that it is needed because we may need more than one address in different project. And the wallet itself will also influence the level of security, fee transfer, and otehrs.

I would love to use a wallet where we can easily buy and sell our coins and tokens without the need to send the same to exchanges. Right now, I have some wallets both in my laptop and smartphone all because some ICO projects required me to have them in the past but I am mostly using TrustWallet for now. There is always a demand for a wallet that can make things easier, more convenient, fast and at less transaction cost. In case you have something like that then it is just a matter of marketing it and making sure it is hack-proof, of course.

There is a saying: don't keep all your eggs in one basket. As a matter of fact, as there is such a tip for diversifying your investments, the same principle should apply to cryptocurrency wallets. Of the above, I use Atomic & Trust wallet and a few more that were not voiced in the topic.

You are right, users will choose a wallet that is easy for them to use, as I know that until now there are still many users who use MEW for the erc-20 token.
But next time there are altcoins that have a different blockchain then we will need a wallet for those coins
Actually, I was very upset with the Imtoken wallet, since I had to use it for the bounty company to create the eos wallet. The fact is that the activation of the EOS wallet turned out to be paid and I spent too much ETH in empty and did not achieve the desired result.
Yes, I've tried setting up an EOS wallet there and I spent at least 0.002 ETH, but there are no-cost EOS wallets like https://freewallet.org/eos-wallet and there may be other wallets without fees to create an EOS wallet.
-snip- I personally use Atomic Wallet for most of my assets and I must say it's a very nice wallet. It's beginner-friendly and secure. A lot of amazing features including staking. Currently supports over 10 cryptos, full list and details can be found on their website https://atomicwallet.io/staking (https://atomicwallet.io/staking)

I've used this wallet when I got bounty tokens and yes, this wallet is also beginner friendly.

I've been looking for free EOS wallet for few months already. The one you have mentioned above is free or do I have to pay for its activation? I've faced only EOS wallets that require 1$ for activation. Paying 1$ is not a problem for me, but all of us like to search for free options first :)

I think every user has their own choice of crypto wallets, me personally I prefer using trust wallet, why? Well that's because I actually find it more convenient and easy to understand than all other crypto wallets, others might have a different review about it but thats it, everyone with their choice and taste, what's good for A might not be good for B.

Actually what we need here is not more Crypto wallets, but the contents of these wallets ... haha, just kidding, friends.
In my opinion, it doesn't matter if many Crypto projects create new multi-wallets, as people who have been familiar with Cryptocurrency for a long time, of course we know which Wallets are good and which are not, so we don't just choose Crypto wallets to store our assets. And for now I am still loyal to use Im-token and Trust Wallet, I think these two wallets are good and as long as I use them, I have never experienced problems.

Well, thing is am personally not a guy of too many wallets, I always prefer using one wallet for all my coins and tokens as long as I don't have a problem with the wallet, I start off Crypto using coinomi when I was into bitcoin and eth alone, as I started investing in erc20 tokens, I shifted to Imtoken, Imtoken became too heavy and I shifted to monarch wallet, monarch wallet didn't have advanced features like being able to trade on uniswap and other decentralized exchanges through the app, so I shifted to trust wallet, I've been using trust wallet ever since and I've never had any problems with it.

I had Metamask, and one day, I opened the window to login, and it was blank. No way to enter user and password. I was lucky, that this was a test phase, so a very small amount was lost. Since then, I do not trust, in-browser wallets.

^ multiple crypto wallets are very good especially exodus, trustwallet and atomic. I use these three wallets to store coins/tokens that I HODL. I don't think we really need more crypto wallets in the future because these three are really good.

For some cases, yes. It may be because of the fees, the easy uses, and also other features that are there at once in one wallet and they are secure. Actually, the multiple wallet or single wallet is not a matter. The thing is the easiness of the use and also the security system if the wallet itself

More crypto wallets mean having more options to store our crypto assets. This is good because if there are many crypto wallets, we can choose the best among them easily. With various crypto wallets are created, there should be competition among them. This can lead to a better improvement on the crypto wallets.

Having multiple crypto wallets will complicate my trading activities, I only use MEW because most of the tokens I have are on the ethereum network.
For the multi blockchain domper that OP means, I haven't used it yet, because I am used to storing other crypto assets on exchanges to make it easier for me to trade.

Because of the way that different cryptographic forms of money have their own blockchains, we need to store a great deal of information along these lines, and obviously I might want to see such digital currency wallet in which it is conceivable to store totally all cryptographic forms of money from different blockchains and I trust later on such digital currency wallet will show up.

I first got acquainted with this wallet when the project was conducting a bounty campaign. At that time, I was not impressed with him and after the end of the campaign, I forgot about him. About six months ago, I was going through my notes and came across a file with a password. I decided to check and was pleasantly surprised by the presence of coins on it. I made a Swap and sent them immediately to staking. Since then, I have been actively using it. Staking is a huge plus and your wallet keys are always with you!

I don't think we need more blockchain wallet specially when you are using few of it what important is the upgrade from time to time in order for better performance. It is very difficult to get and use an EOS wallet. I have tried my wombat many times but don't know why I failed to use it. But for other blockchain trusts, multi-wallet is a very good solution and their support is also very good. And for trc 20 type token TRON Link is highly recommendable.

I agree with you, If you go on playstore there are several fake wallets there owned by scammers, i wonder why Google would allow those fake apps to be listed on their store, well I guess they don't care if it's a fake app or not they just list it as along as the app owner pays them to list their app,and because of this alot of people have lost their money to scammers by downloading ND using dat fake wallet.

if one wallet could support all the tokens and coins and that is safe and secure to use. then there is no need to use multiple wallets for one person. it's better if one person stuck with one wallet. or maybe 2 wallets. one for keeping small amounts, for sending and receiving payments and another one more secured for keeping the coins and holding.
I think 2 wallets would be enough one for regular use and one for holding purposes.

We need more trusted wallets, so it is no problem if we have multiple crypto wallets. If there are more crypto wallets, means we have more options for the places to keep our crypto assets safely. Also, it can trigger the existing crypto wallets to improve their quality. So, finally, we have better crypto wallets because of many new crypto wallets to compete among them.

Multi wallet could ease your worries from complexity to simplicity. Good to store different  tokens in one wallet. ERC 20 or MEW wallet is tested and free to use. You can save tons of tokens in one wallet as long as it is ERC 20 base.

I only use iMtoken and Trustwallet, actually we don't need too many wallets anymore, what we need is not a lot of wallets but security that everyone is looking for

Do we need multiple crypto wallets in the future, and how many multi blockchain crypto wallets do you use today?
We cannot stop the development of cryptocurrency, this is because cryptocurrency has a decentralized nature, so as long as it is useful we can use what other people do, like the number of wallets that appear, it's just that you have to be careful, because not a few wallets end up being a scam.
I personally only use a few wallets, but soon I'm planning to buy an offline wallet like the Trezor, because it's more secure than an online wallet.

True, you need a hardware wallet or paper wallet to store a certain amount of coins such as BTC or other altcoins.
I thought the same thing about using online crypto wallets, some people easily swap on instant exchanges using the Dapp browser, I think it's safe if the project isn't a scam, however using hot wallets or hardware wallets can help us not to lose some crypto assets that we have.

Hello everyone, I agree with all the authors. On my own behalf, I want to add that the wallet should still be functional besides the fact that it should still be secure, which are only 270 wallets out of a large number of wallets and applications for cryptocurrencies

Various wallets?
So what are so many wallets for if they don't work?

I think there is no need to have multiple wallets because only with the current application it must have a lot of swallow.
For example, the wallet from Exodus has many functions for various coins.

Safe wallets are now about 20% of the total, I believe that you can trust, but you have to be careful. Exchanges create their own tokens and this is a threat to those who want to buy cryptocurrency, because these tokens often do not reflect reality

Of course, we need multiple wallet, people love simple and multiple wallets is the answers. Can you imagine people hold 20 different coins and must write down 20 private key? It so complicated. What about if more than 20?
that is why wallets such as coinomi, trustwallet and other multi coin wallets are gaining more popularity now. because they support multi coins/tokens and they are pretty safe too.

I support offline wallet trezor Which data are hide when you are on offline. I again support trust wallets for bounty campaign hunters and myetherwallet also.
another good wallet is metamask. because most of bounty tokens list in swaps. such as uniswap so you would need metamask or trustwallet to exchange your tokens immediately. if you wait for other exchange listings you might loose the value of tokens.

I have not yet been able to fully understand the functions of metamask, but I am interested in the following questions: Is it possible to get a secret key from a wallet that was created using metamask? If so, how?

I have seen several new projects such as crypto wallets which can store all crypto assets with their multi blockchain wallets, iMtoken, Trustwallet, Exodus wallet and Atomic wallet having instant exchanges to make it easier for us to make quick exchanges.
Do we need multiple crypto wallets in the future, and how many multi blockchain crypto wallets do you use today?

Most of the time I often used myether wallet(MEW) and Trust wallet, then the rest mentioned in the above is not yet.
But sometimes there are some bounty projects that required EOS, TRX, Waves, and more depending on the blockchain, they've chosen to use.

Every Cryptocurrency wallet must have its own advantages, so even though there are currently many Crypto wallets, we can choose which one is the best for us. Personally, I prefer a wallet that has low transaction fees.

We always need more crypto wallets because we have many new crypto coins every day. The new crypto wallets are probably the better ones because the creators of new crypto wallets should improve the quality and functions of the wallets. It is no problem for me to have many new crypto wallets.

If we should choose the multi-wallet and it is about the mobile wallet, Trustwalletmay be the best choice, There are also ImToken that is also supporting many cryptos with very easy user friendly. Both ImToken and TrustWallers are friendly enough for newbies.

we need only to save crypto on a personal wallet because its quite important to maintain better security and also by storing token or coins in our personal wallet it's more calm.
if we safe in multi-wallet likes mobile wallet also well many friends also to do that im i also do it.

It is indeed a good thing and I agree with you that it is better to use one of the many available if it can provide all the facilities needed to make it easier to control.
but with the development of technology we know that everyone will certainly compete to provide facilities that may not exist in one other wallet and he updates with more convenience, of course after all we will try to find the best. let the kopentisi run naturally and which one is the best, there will definitely be many who use it and those that are not used will naturally be eliminated.

Your right man, I really don't get why anyone wouldn't love to have new crypto wallets, after all new crypto wallets are much advanced than old ones, and any problems/bugs the old crypto wallets might have been encountering, the new crypto wallets will be like a prototype, so for me new crypto wallets are welcome.

For me am using trust wallet because it's convenient for me to use, but I do create other wallets because of bounty, most tokens are not listed on trust wallet while most of them have thier own wallet, so I do create different wallet in respective to the token which is to be giving out by the bounty in which I pertake In, and thus this clearly shows that we need more Crypto wallets because more projects are coming and also more coins too.

It is seen that many wallets are being hacked now.  The main reason for this is that private keys have been used in all those wallets. Hacking makes it very easy for hackers to have private keys for hacking.  And ensure the safety of your wallet.

First of all, I want to confirm that we need as many crypto wallets as we currently have. This helps to fight monopoly, increase motivation from competition & makes it possible for investors to store crypto assets in multiple places to minimize risk.
Currently I only use MEW, MetaMask, FreeWallet & few wallets on the exchange. I am planning to invest in buying a hardware wallet in the future to ensure more safety for my crypto assets.

It depends with how you use your coins for, I use my coins in different ways including merchant services... but apart from merchant services I also buy and hold different coins so that I can sell later, so in that case I use two different wallets which are Trust wallet and Coinpayments.

The more in the future it will be more developed, especially in the world of technology ... people will be more and more facilitated, with the increase in crypto wallets it will make it easier for people to store and transact in their hands. Likewise crypto wallet developers, they will take advantage of this gap to develop their applications so that people use it a lot ... the easier it is to use, the more people will use it ... aside from seeing rather than fees ...

every wallet has almost the same security, but in its development there have been many wallets that add security to their wallets, which was originally only privatkey... Now it has developed not only privatkey, keystore, mnemonic pharse... but also backed up with Authenticator and password... I thought it would further increase the security of the wallet, because it is not just one security...

true, learning from the experience of a few years ago, my wallet was also hacked by a scammer and all the tokens in my wallet were lost because I only used privatkey for wallet security, so as not to repeat the same thing, now I create several wallets and also create several wallet platforms different so that security is more guaranteed because now a trusted wallet already provides very high security ...
