We know that 2020 has been one of the most unforgettable years in our lives as Covid-19 entered and roared into the global scene causing unimaginable havoc everywhere...rich and poor countries alike. In the world of cryptocurrency though I still consider 2020 as one of its banner years with Bitcoin reaching new heights never before explored and there is a big possibility that 2021 will be offering more. The same can be true with some selected altcoins especially Ethereum and many DeFi projects -- but not so much with other coins and tokens.
Do you think 2021 can be the year when altcoins can be making its own version of a bull run...or will it wither more in the shadow of the raging Bitcoin as more and more institutional investors are taking in Bitcoin but ignoring all the rest?

The year is wrapping up and it seem like all altcoins are falling but it's only bitcoin is the only one thats rising up while other coins in the cryptocurrency market are downtrending we are looking for better year to come in the crypto market especially this coming year 2021 to favour altcoins market.

The year 2021 seems good to me when I base my assumption with the past crypto market history. The history could repeat itself on 2021 where we can possibly witness how the market turn to pump days. The world will definitely overcome the covid. Crypto enthusiasts will come back and do crypto tradings again.

I agree with you. I also think that the covid -19 world will win and 2021 will be a very good year for the cryptoindustry, since it seems to me that the coins will reach new heights that we do not even know about.

Indeed 2020 is an unforgettable year in my life, it's the worst year I have ever lived in so far, but I'm glad just a few days more and we will be done with it ;D, and I believe no one can deny that 2020 is the best year in the crypto sphere seeing bitcoin break its previous all time high in a year where the economy of all the covid-19 affected countries crashed, some how bitcoin was still able to pump hard and its still pumping, I'm not so sure we are going to have an altcoin season next year, even though I know I can't predict the future but from the way I see things, there's never going to be an altcoin season like in 2017.

To be honest, I personally hope that in 2021, I am optimistic that the development of the crypto world will be very good, more than in previous years. One of the reasons is the news that paypal accepts crypto as a means of payment, with a paypal connection that is owned of course this will have a positive impact.

Market has always been a cycle, I believe by next year we will see a natural correction of all the coins. This kind of growth has happened to yearn.finance when it was massively pump to $40k and then all of sudden, we began to see sell off and correction to half the original price.

I agree with you. The vaccine now is in trial. Once it is effective the world will be healed again and then people will travel, celebrates, join in sports, face to face will be possible again. 2021 will end the corona and the world will recover.

IMHO, I believe that the upcoming year 2021 has a lot of perspectives, but most people are uncertain about what the year 2021 prospect would be. By the way, I believe that the pandemic will slowly fade away due to the past pacing stage of advancement in vaccine development. But in terms of the cryptocurrency industry, I believe that the 2017 altcoins boom will never happen again. It's obvious things have changed, people and investors are already cautious thats why if any altcoin price will boom I believe that was an organic demand and not a bubble Like what happens in 2017.

I think this will be more profitable year 2021 as BTC did not come in this stage like 2017. So it came slowly and more investment came and also everywhere positive news in market so 2021 will be record-able year for all as well as market.

Yes, mate, we have to admit that in 2020 bitcoin is a very amazing surprise and this is beyond the expectations that have developed in the past. But we are grateful that this will also make altcoins prepare to increase as well because they don't seem ready for what bitcoin is doing.

If you look at the first and second% halving, it looks like your estimate might still be overtaken by bitcoin next year.

The year 2021 is gonna be better than 2020 and obviously there are indication that 2021 will be great. I am hoping that the price of bitcoin may touch $30k within the few days of the end of 2020 or early 2021.

Vaccines provide temporary protection, we will not be able to get rid of the effect of covid. It will be really difficult in 2021. Just like 2020. My altcoin portfolio is too narrow. there is only Ethereum and DIA. I don't care about the rest. I also have no expectations. I think they will all disappear. :'(

I hope a strong feeling will, 2017 is a big learning experience for all of us, we learn that all, not all that glitters are gold, back 2017 many investors lost money from investing in bad projects who just run away with investor's money, investors have matured they know how to invest where to invest, this is the reason why so many ICO failed to generate funding because they really are not worthy.

No one can really say for Sure, but I believe we all hope for the best, no doubt 2020 have been a very good for bitcoin and some few selected altcoins, and a few guys also were really lucky with the surprise airdrops from uniswap and the most recent one, 1inch, this two airdrops alone might have changed the lives of many people in the crypto space.

i think more funds will move into ethereum just like we see huge funds moving into BTC. it is true that altcoins will increase and there will be new ATH for most of the altcoins, especially for the top ranking, but the increase is also due to the pull of bitcoin which will still be successful in the next year even bitcoin will create renewable ATH as well.

We have already seen the signs of this. New BTC ATH is 50% higher then the previous ATH, in 2017.
I will agree on you but In my opinion the new ATH is much different from previous not only 50% higher but more like to be a 1000% higher than previous as you can see in December almost everyday new ATH occurs and on this year this will continue even further for sure.
