Title: XRP Delistings
Post by: Zed0X on December 31, 2020, 06:00:02 AM
Following the US SEC filing lawsuit against XRP, exchanges have announced delisting or suspending trading of this coin. For those who are not aware, Ripple was sued because they allegedly sold securities in the form of XRP to US investors/traders.

As I've said in another thread, if ever Binance decides to delist this it will be done by their US counterpart which is Binance US.
It will be the Binance US, which caters to all their US customers, who will do that. The main exchange blocks all US customers anyway.

and they did just that as announced here - Binance US Will Suspend XRP Trading and Deposits January 13th (https://support.binance.us/hc/en-us/articles/1500000956801)

Other exchanges that announced halting trading of XRP also includes:

It is true what you have said and it is proven that Ripple's price is going up again now.
As for the decline in Ripple's price because the Bitcoin price has also dropped. And I think why all these exchanges are removing Ripple because of the very strict rules in their country for digital money transactions.

It could be a deliberate move to dump the price on behalf of the XRP community since there is a lot of friction with the miners strike unless a burn of the tokens happens which could take the price to dollars right now the fight for the utilisation and purpose is taking place, an ideological fight

It must be better if we can avoid XRP right now since the faith of this coin depends on SECs decision on the filed lawsuit if they can win the case this is the right time to take action and buy more then if they failed to depend themselves then its the fall of XRP but as many experts said XRP is not a security then SEC decision will also agree on this.

Ripple is a great and strong coin, A coin that has a very strong community and supporters.
Although there have been problems with the SEC and delisting from many major Crypto exchanges, XRP is still able to stay in 4th place on Coinmarketcap and is also still experiencing a price increase which I think is quite good.

It's just that the holders still have hopes and the blow that the SEC has prepared will be carried out in court! Today, the CEO of xrp says more than he can do in court!

The top exchanges are going to be delisted the XRP this is not a good news and if they do that then the xrp go down so much instantly and that time the coin value is so much low. I hope this is not happen and the XRP coin go high again.

Grayscale sold XRP, the company justifies its actions with the SEC lawsuit against Ripple. The fact that there will be all sorts of courts has led to the delisting of XRP on many exchanges. But Japan disagrees, and this carries more weight for Ripple than the problems with the US SEC. The company's main business is Asian banks, using XRP for over five years.

For the time being if the exchanges agree with the SEC and they delist the XRP then it will be on a temporary basis and they will soon re-list it again. There are still many exchanges that want to continue with XRP trading.

Karaken announced to its users in the United States that it will stop trading XRP as of January 30.You can reach the details of the subject from the link below.

Another bad news to add to Ripple and XRP. I wonder how much profit all exchanges that are not based in the United States will be able to make with all this news. Although the price of XRP continues to fall, the sales volumes are rising in Asian exchanges in an incredible way. It seems that the SEC's lawsuit is very scary to all exchanges based in the United States.

I think the delisting is a US thing and can not affect other investors/holder world wide. Though the US market hold an integral part of the crypto market space, there are great number of investors outside the US that can make things happen.
The SEC lawsuit will affect the XRP market price within a short period of time but will come back stronger at the long run.

I totally agree with you because Ripple has a very large market cap and trading in Ripple coins is widespread throughout the world.
The proof is now that Ripple is back up and staying at the price of 0.2 USD and even Ripple is now recovering its confidence among investors and this goal will definitely raise the price again for Ripple.

XRP coin is not delisting i am sure about that becasue in the crypto market XRP coin make a great value and soon all the news will be the negative and the XRP coin will make their place constant.

@Muneeb22 only pairs on US-based exchanges will be removed. Outside the borders of the United States, the SEC has no power to force exchanges to remove their pairs, therefore in the rest of the world people will be able to continue buying and selling without any problem. Another thing is the price at which it is maintained (and right now it is better than I thought) considering that the biggest investors in Ripple and XRP are in the United States.

xrp is getting a lot of trouble and has been delisted on many exchanges it makes xrp even worse, only a few exchanges are able to survive it makes ripple even lower in the top 4 coinmarketcap is really bad enough, for now, the possibility of it all coming back it's very tough competition so heavy.

@tor I know a bit about legal issues (don't worry i'm not the tax collector) and I doubt that in February everything will be resolved. In February, the documentation provided by both parties (SEC and Ripple) will begin to be submitted, and from that moment the litigation will begin, it can last a long time, especially due to the change of president, things are a bit up in the air in the first weeks.

But I don't think the coin removal is a problem at the current price of Ripple.
But when the news was first written all the markets turned red for Ripple trading and this was very painful for the Ripple coin holders.
But right now the Ripple coin will feel even better because Ripple is starting to green and up again.

The SEC sued Ripple Labs for allegedly violating Securities laws and peddling an unregistered security. This XRP delisting is normal as many exchanges would rather just get rid of it rather than dealing with the legal drama. They are just playing safe.

The SEC has no complaints about the issuance and circulation of the ripple cryptocurrency. Only company executives are accused of misusing unregistered ripple coins. Therefore, the exclusion of ripple from the listing of some cryptocurrency exchanges is not entirely legal and is simply pressure on Ripple Labs. After resolving the issue with a lawsuit and paying penalties for the violations committed, ripple must restore its previous positions.

for those who delete the XRP list from their exchange, I am sure they will lose because XRP can still survive and of course there are still many investors who trade on XRP.
Title: Re: XRP Delistings
Post by: Freemind on January 31, 2021, 05:45:06 PM
@mrongos the exchanges that have removed XRP pairs have not done so because they wanted to. They have done it to legally cover themselves against possible lawsuits, those lawsuits could cost them much more money than the money they will stop earning with XRP pairs. If after the storm XRP goes back to trading, the price will surely rise even more than it is rising now.

Maybe this is now the time of reconsidering some of a coins for migration purposes of your fund. Even we are seeing ripple now made its latest pump it does not remove the actual situation that could be the big problem of investors in days to come.

if many remove XRP from several exchanges I am sure they are currently losing money because currently the price on the exchange is doing a price recovery so in my opinion it does not matter if XRP is still listed on some big exchanges because it can increase the trading volume of that exchange, I congratulate XRP holders.

Although some stock exchanges are delirious, these days xrp has entered a serious rise. If it goes on like this, xrp will make a new peak just like ethereum. He goes on his way as if he hadn't eaten delists from a lot of stock exchanges as if there was no court. Let's see how long will its energy continue?

XRP is indeed very strong and also has strong support from its supporters.  It looks like XRP will also soon recover from this slump, maybe now is the right time to increase investment in XRP.

indeed many exchanges have started removing XRP from their lists, but there are still some exchanges that still accept XRP exchanges, so maybe only exchanges that don't want to be at risk prefer to remove XRP from their list.

This should be treated quite normally, just no one wants to get under the law in the states! I am sure that the SEC should not stifle xrp, because the next one can be any other cryptocurrency, this is an attack on the entire industry!

I'm optimistic that Ripple will bounce back again in the right time due to its massive demand and huge support from the faithful supporters. Regardless of delisted from big exchanges Ripple is capable to overcome all struggles. Actually it is potential to cross $1 this year after fixing the issue.

Some exchanges delisted XRP, but the most important thing is that Binance did not do this and XRP is also trading on other top cryptocurrency exchanges like huobi, kraken, upbit and other top exchanges, so everything will be fine with XRP, just like everyone saw that the price of XRP rose from 0.2$ to 0.7$ and at the moment the price of XRP is 0.4$.

But strangely enough, Ripple on Binance which has a great value for the financial market cap did not erase the Ripple coin, this evidence is strong enough that Ripple is still worth trading.
Ripple will not continue to sink because Ripple has something to take care of, which is the price and for sure Jed McCalleb will not stay idle to continue developing the Ripple coin.

@masudginanjar XRP has only been removed from the lists of US-based exchange pairs, which also includes Binance.us which removed trading and deposits on Jan 13. Binance.com is not based in the United States, so it can be traded without problems.

It was the exchanges located in the US jurisdiction that stopped trading the XRP coin. And the main reason for this is that these exchanges do not want to come into conflict with the SEC, in connection with the lawsuit they filed. The remaining exchanges will make decisions on XRP after the trial is completed.

I remember when this happened the price of XRP dropped to $0.28 and one of my friends wrote a topic about this issue saying that "XRP did a mistake" so it is over! But I told him we should buy at this price, XRP is a great coin and is one of the top 10 cryptocurrencies in the world so it will not disappear easily like that! He got feared and I buy, in just a few weeks the price pumped and I resale my coins at $0.46 and he regrets it!

XRP (Ripple), has not made any mistake, we already know what the SEC is like, and how little it likes not being able to control everything, they couldn't do anything against Bitcoin, and they have looked at a US-based company, it doesn't really matter what the company is called, Ripple, Badum Tss or whatever, if that company makes large amounts of money and is in the United States, sooner or later the SEC will take notice.

I think ups and downs are part of market. Of course there maybe systemic wrong from xrp team so that they facing this problem at this moment but just believe in xrp as team is very strong and they will come back again with new policy. Their present market cap is 18B$ which is very good to me after bad news as well as so this proven that people still believing xrp and before full crash xrp team must come with well policies.

In my opinion, this case will stop soon and Ripple will soon recover.  Even though there are actually some people who doubt XRP, I still believe XRP will rise again.
