Title: We need "ignore/block PM" feature from newbies
Post by: bee on January 01, 2021, 06:41:40 PM
I've been annoyed lately with spam PMs from newbies offering bot trading. They've never posted anything before. It looks like it's one-time accounts. (https://i.imgur.com/Wevrm66.png)

We need to add something to block such messages. So far there are only 2 options for receiving PM from: all members and admin only

You can report the account here mate www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=184696.0

For now that's all we can do to ignore / block spam posts in inbox. Admin will act on the account

I'm glad another one is asking for it. I've already requested that feature in my topic - Enable blocking messages from newbies (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=183083.msg1039877#new). Maybe admin will act on it if more will agree to this.

Thank you for providing the reference links. But as I thought, it's most likely one-time accounts and reporting such users will be endless as long as the register button is still exsist. I think spamming should be prevented earlier before spammers do, otherwise this forum will become an attraction for malware spreaders as well.

This is one of my most annoying in this forum so far. I already give a negative karma for one of these and yet it the account did not stop sending me the same message.
