I am considering the year 2020 as a big year for Bitcoin as there had been so many developments that pushed the value of the coin to the stratosphere, and we are still feeling the positive effects of those factors right now in the start of 2021. As to the question of Bitcoin as a store of value, I think that there is already no question on that. What Bitcoin lacks is actually the acceptance of it in the field as a medium of payment, as a real currency. Nevertheless, just like the real gold, people and many institutions are now relying on it as a safe and growing asset haven.

BTC has an impressive year, all thanks to institutional investors seeing massive potential and upside in BTC. Largely as a result of being able to buy such large quantities of BTC production that they can skew the supply and demand ratio in their favor. Last month we saw that more BTC was bought up by investment groups than were actually produced and that trend seems to potentially continue.
