Title: What Dapps are you impressed with in 2020?
Post by: MrSpasybo on January 04, 2021, 02:38:43 PM
Over the course of 2020, decentralized applications gained a remarkable amount of traction, with the total locked volume across all decentralized exchanges rising from under $40 million back in December 2019 to a whopping more than $26 billion within a span of just nine months.

DApps offer users a wide array of transparency-related benefits — along with other advantages such as:
+They are open source;
+They offer attractive incentives;
+They are reliable.

1. Uniswap: is a protocol built atop the Ethereum ecosystem for swapping ERC-20 tokens without the need for buyers and sellers to create demand.

2. InterPlanetary Search Engine: is a decentralized search engine built atop the EOS blockchain that makes use of the InterPlanetary File System, which allows users to browse the internet while also being incentivized to share any unique content they may have.

3. CryptoKitties: a game first launched in 2017 that allows players to breed, buy and eventually sell digital cats that are represented in the form of nonfungible ERC-721 tokens.

4. Rarible: is a community-owned NFT marketplace that leverages its governance token, RARI, to power its platform.

5. Axie Infinity: in the Axie Infinity world, individuals can team up their pets to battle other users, thus adding a real element of action and adventure into the mix.

6. Steemit: a social DApp meant primarily for bloggers. It is built atop the Steem blockchain and allows verified users to create blog posts on any topic they desire as well as add tags, photos or anything else to their accounts for various incentives.

Article: From Uniswap to Axies, these 6 DApps blew us away in 2020 (https://cointelegraph.com/news/from-uniswap-to-axies-these-6-dapps-blew-us-away-in-2020)

Of the 6 most popular Dapps of 2020 above, which Dapp do you know and like? Everyone knows UniSwap in 2020, but CryptoKitties was famous since 2017 when it crushed the Ethereum blockchain at that time :) I am surprised that it is still one of the 6 most prominent Dapps of 2020. I recommended it to my friends and some are still playing. They even wondered: we have DOGE for dog lovers, but why we do not have CATY or KITTY for cat lovers?

Is the project cryptokitties still in progress? because this project is quite interesting but there are some issues that they are withdrawing the token from uniswap and bounty hunters have not been paid yet

You can check CryptoKitties website here: https://www.cryptokitties.co/. Their blog is updated and our friends are playing this game.
And I don't know their bounty campaign and if we can trade CryptoKitties on UniSwap. Do you have the article or video about it?

I didn't find any news just some feedback about this project from other members

Hi guys an update for this KittieFight project. Its really worse now what happened on KittieFight project. The tokens that have been trading on uniswap has literally been drained by the team providing an excuse it was a reward to farmers of their yield program which is bit impossible since no tokens have been distributed to investors. The tokens only circulating was the one added by the team on uniswap which has been drained already.

I really thought that they could pulled off something but I think I regret believing that they are really working on the development part as event like this occur. This a red flag even for degen traders so basically this can be considered as soft rug.

Now the founder Ola, has saying he will not add liquidity from the investors money? Damn, which clearly the reason why we put some eth. Now change of plan adn divert it into development which we've never been seen working.

Uniswap is a very Exited project of 2020 they create a history on crypto world for their project popularity and Airdrop. We can use uniswap as very easy, we can swap our currency without any demand of other buyer or Sellar. This is really very usefull for us. And Stemit is very good platfrom for Bloggers,  they can post their article on stemit and earn some good money for their Article.

I see that the development of Uniswap is quite good, so I am quite optimistic about this platform. But for Cryptokitties I don't really care about this platform, because ever since they refused to pay bounty hunters, I was not sure about their seriousness in developing the platform.

KittieFight is not CryptoKitties, its website is https://www.kittiefight.io/, not https://www.cryptokitties.co/.
I think this is just a project that takes advantage of the popularity of CryptoKitties. And they have a token: KTY :)

The kittieFIGHT Dapp also solves the problem of oversupply of Cryptokitties via euthanasia/kittie-sink called kittieHELL. I think that Uniswap is the best choice. We know how this platform was in last year, the progress and also development. It was very amazing to see how people in the crypto world accept this Uniswap and this can really show its biggest chance to develop

Uniswap is the most popular among the list, that is as of 2020 because in 2017 CryptoKitties became the fad and even made a big history of its own by crushing the Ethereum network to the ground. One of the best things people will remember Uniswap for was the airdrop it made to its users -- and it is still considered to be the biggest one made by a platform so far. Anyway, I am also quite interested with InterPlanetary Search Engine platform...they got a mining option too so I might as well take a closer look at this one. Hope somebody here has a good experience with this new type of a search engine based on the blockchain.

Last year I was certainly impressed by Uniswap. Because it’s unreal for me to be something new. Thanks to this exchange, I can now easily trade.

Unfortunately I have not found any information that the CryptoKitties #DevelopmentTeam  is related to KittieFIGHT. Maybe KittieFIGHT is just a platform built for CryptoKitties users to have a place to have fun with their Crypto Kitties.
Hope there will be members who participated in the KittieFIGHT project to give us more information about the platform as well as their relationship with CryptoKitties.
I still believe that the CryptoKitties project is really good and there is no scandal with the crypto community.

UNIswap is more dominant than others and it is definitely in the big market cap of the whole cryptocurrency market.
From various Dapps, I chose UNIswap to be number 1 because UNIswap has many features to choose from.
Many events or prizes were given from UNIswap and this is something valuable for those of us who use it.

UniSwap has become so famous and popular, the profits from their liquidity pool are very attractive and the $1K UNI token airdrop has received the attention of the entire community.
It seems that everyone has ignored the fake token issue on UniSwap, do you know how the UniSwap #DevelopmentTeam  has overcome this problem?

My favorite dapps project is uniswap because this is the choice of new cryptocurrency project where they can list their project without any fee whenever project grows they listed on big exchange so we can take profit from here by buying early but we have to do research before investing.

InterPlanetary Search Engine first time to heard this dapp I dont know if this really popular last 2020 but the only dapp I know which is really popular is Uniswap you can see it one of the most gas spender dapps other are forsage dapp but this one is shady since its a Ponzi scheme.

I think Uniswap is much better among DAPs and has gained a lot of popularity for crypto market exchanges. A variety of new exchange sites are included in Uniswap and exchange lists are named after them.

they will not only change the way how we use the internet, to be honest, they already did it but also they will change the way how we use money but most important how we invest, store, take loans and this is only the pick of an iceberg, there is so much more like insurances, tokenizations, etc.

Imagine how easy it is for an artist today to tokenize his assets or for a painter to any other artist, that not possible 5 years ago.

I think you're right these two companies are separate, but could do wrong. CryptoKitties was bought out by venture capitalists so are aren't an independent company acquiring others (or creating others) either. Back in 2018 there were also other applications which you could use your cryptokitties with but without it being part of the main contract, instead you used to kitties to fight or race with others within a different contract, using the ERC721 tokens.

CK is a an interesting concept, one of the first real used NFTs, but does seem like a fad that has passed, even if someone did buy a kitten from me a few months ago for the first time in over a year! I'm glad to have a litters I do though, I ended up breaking even from breeding & selling was good fun  :)

There is a clear winner here and that is Uniswap, there is no other Dapps that come close to this Uniswap, this success of DEFI this year can be attributed to Uniswap because it makes it possible for project to get listed on exchange and get good trading volume unlike the time you will need a CEX to help you pump your trading volume

From all of them I can't choose because the best Dapps is Ethereum, even though Ethereum is not included in the list but I really like it.
The list even has UNIswap Dapps and it is already on the Ethereum coin radar.

I believe this is because Ethereum is amazing in its cryptocurrency business and I believe in Vitalik Buterin.

Uniswap is the number one decentralized exchange in the world, I did not expect Uniswap to beat etherdelta, but this is what is unique, Uniswap is the best Dapp and not long after that other DEX such as 1inch and moonswap appeared.
One of the characteristics of a successful project is when many other people create projects with the same idea.

It seems that the developers of Uniswap don't have to do anything, because Uniswap is a Dex exchange and anyone can take part of the liquidity pool of any tokens that will be traded or paired.
By adding smart contracts from existing tokens, anyone will easily register tokens on Uniswap, but with a different system and not the same as dex exchange systems such as forkdelta / Etherdelta.

In my opinion the UNISWAP project is a much better project.  Last year the progress of the UNISWAP project in the crypto market increased at a tremendous rate.  Crypto has gained a lot of popularity for exchanges in the market.

Undoubtedly, uniswap is one of the most rated projects of 2020, but nevertheless, the huge commissions of this resource annoy me very much. In fact, uniswap performs the same functions as etherDelta, but the cost of trading on uniswap, unlike etherDelta, is too high.

Indeed, there is no fee for listing on UNIswap, but remember mate!
Once again, remember that you have to have at least tens of Ethereum for liquidity, not to mention the enormous transaction fees emphasized by UNIswap.

If you understand more about what happened to UNIswap then you will realize how expensive it is to list coins on the DEX platform for a project.
