Bitcoin's 'real' volume doubles previous all-time high

Weekly BTC trade volume has surged to dwarf the previous record by 100% amid Bitcoin’s dramatic run up to $40,000.

Interestingly, trading volumes are created by real users or with the help of bots, and this is done only to increase interest in Bitcoin? I'm not sure if this is the indicator that we should be guided by, but the fact that trading volumes increased by 100% is certainly cool.
