Another year, another 4 figure Ethereum is currently playing out, just $100 or so dollars from all time high. But what investments will perform better in 2021; Ethereum and further 2.0 launch with 1.8 billion Ether locked in staking, or DeFi projects with their locked markets cap of currently 6.6 million Ether?
I think ETH will do very well, but I have a suspicion that certain DeFi projects will out perform eventually, even if dump much further in the next bear market in a year or so. Personally I hope to accumulate more Ether for next year by investing in defi this year, knowing that some have 10-100x potential still.

Speculation: if BTC reaches six digits, ETH will be in five digits. This will most likely happen before the year ends.
More often than not, it's ETH that rallies with BTC followed by other large caps coins/tokens. I can't say the same with DeFis but we've seen some of them do well since their inception. I wouldn't leave ETH but I guess it's not bad to transfer small amounts into these DeFi tokens.
I have little idea on what's going to happen next year. We'll probably see market reach a level of saturation that will trigger another long bear season. I'll stick with BTC or some stable coins just in case.

It could be that we set aside a few coins for Defi is an attractive investment path. But in my opinion, too speculative. It is better to choose coins with a strong level of stability such as BTC or ETH

I still choose Ethereum because my choice is the best Ethereum for now and maybe even in the future.
DeFi is a platform that is under the auspices of Ethereum and it is certain that Ethereum is still the parent of various DeFi projects.
According to various media, the DeFi project could simply lose if all devs throw away their tokens, whereas Ethereum will not be like that because it is spread in various parts of the world.

If I have a small amount of money, I will invest in DeFi because DeFi's potential for profit & risk is higher than ETH, and in the worst case scenario, I am completely ready to lose that asset.
If I have a lot of money, I will invest in ETH because the stability of ETH is greater than the fledgling DeFi projects.

I think Ethereum is better than Defi projects. Because some Defi tokens die immediately after their release (the developers just collect money and wash their hands). And Ethereum, in my opinion, will live forever.

Etherum has been on the Pinnacle already in terms of popularity despite that it took a lot time for the value to appreciate even when some people are already giving up since 2018 to 2020 there are has been etherum struggle in gain much value,but theDefi project are also pulling stronge to out grow some crypto currency project that has been in the market for long.

I prefer Ethereum, because the road map is old compared to defi, where there are many ETH supporters, indeed in terms of product prices, Defi is almost equal to BTC, but I think ETH is better than defi for now

I believe that these DeFi projects, which were announced back in 2020, will have a very good chance of development this year. Many analysts say that 2021 will definitely be the most ambitious year for the development of DeFi projects, but at the same time, DeFi will exalt Ethereum to new heights of achievements.

Some DeFi projects will most likely really be able to grow in price, but here it is difficult to place bets on the right projects, because this area is very young, it began to develop actively only in 2020

I prefer Ethereum for 2021, although there are some DeFi products that also have good potential such as ChainLink and Polkadot. But somehow my prediction, Ethereum which will give me a big advantage this year.

Most of the defi coin are being established on ethereum blockchain .I think that's why i voted for Defi token .Currently all are getting on hype so very tough to say about something on defi which might have a great future .However i think Defi token will be a great platform to investment now at the moment .

Many analysts expect that 2021 will be like a year of excitement around defi projects and that Ethereum will receive a very high demand rating thanks to this project. That is why I see a very good tandem from defi and ethereum.

I always like the Ethereum Project. You have compared two projects. It has been seen lately that many people are getting rich overnight by investing in Defi projects. Currently the Defi projects are showing very good performance. I would say if you expect more profit. Then you can invest in all the current defi projects. Etherium projects are also good. Defi projectors are currently better than Ethereum projectors.

Ethereum of course. Before launching any decentralised finance projects, people always use bitcoin and Ethereum only. But nowadays decentralised finance also have a good possibilities for better and safest investment. Chain link, aave, wrapped BTC, yearns finance and compound also very much suitable defi projects.

Ethereum for sure, but don't just focus on Ethereum because Defi also is profitable. So for now I will keep both. Actually, my problem in Ethereum still not solved, The transaction fee. If the gas fee keep increasing maybe I will move on to other coins and forget Ethereum

In Cryptocurrency we always have to look where there is potential for profit, the DeFi Project which has been booming recently has attracted a lot of people's attention. However, not a few of them lost because they were trapped in the Fake DeFi project, therefore we must remain careful. I myself for the time being, prefer the Ethereum project when compared to DeFi Coins, I don't know if my mind will change.

with eth you will have a smooth growth and organic profit, with defi you will have a rapid growth and huge but risky profit - risky in the sense that most defi project are not trust worthy so your profit could easy melt away if you don't make hay while the sun shine ;D

Of course people use only bitcoin and etherium before launching any money project. So now Ethereum and Bitcoin investors around the world prefer to invest in Ethereum and Bitcoin the most. Of course Ethereum is a much more advanced platform than the DeFi project.
